Slow service Rude staff Unappetizing food The food was remarkably inedible. The caesar salad contained rotten lettuce and the dressing smelled very strongly of fish that had turned. The turkey club wrap BLT, did not contain bacon, lettuce or tomato...instead it had yellow peppers, also inedible due to dry discolored deli turkey meat. One of the poorest dining experiences I have ever had.

The customer service was among the worst that I've ever experienced in NYC, the food was greasy and overcooked not to mention served in minuet portions and the staff is incredibly rude. The facilities are mediocre at best, There are so many other wonderful locations have a drink, dine and stay the night in NYC, don't waste your time at this one.

I recently had lunch here and it was not good. Lukewarm bland soup and a risotto which was inedible. The cookies that they served at the end of the meal tasted one step shy of supermarket caliber.

I ordered from the Rest. Week menu and was very disappointed. The salad was good. I had the pumpkin risotto for entree and it was awful. The pumpkin was in large chunks and the dish had zero flavor to it. I had the apple tart for dessert which wasn't bad, but nothing to rave about. The apples were cooked in cinnamon and drizzled with caramel and thrown in a tart shell. Overall, a very disappointing experience. Not worth it.

I went to Moda with a group of 6 for dinner on a Wednesday night and we were the only people in the restaurant - now I know why. The food was ok, but the service and atmosphere was definitely lacking. Even though we were the only people there it took us over 2 hours to eat dinner and leave. Our waiter was nowhere to be found most of the time and the food just took way too long. Not to mention they play the worst music of all time - Ace of Base and Mariah Carey! Come on! Do yourself a favor and skip Moda.

We stayed over at the hotel to see a show and expected a mundane, hurried meal. Well, far from it. The waiters were very attentive and courtly, even, without being oppressive and in your face when you are trying to talk. Perhaps these are different people from the sour ones mentioned by one reviewer. We liked them. My husband loves sea bass and certainly enjoyed his. The breast of duck with foie gras ravioli was excellent! I am fussy because I cook well. This was a lovely experience. Intimate. Calming. We will return.

I went here for a friend during restaurant week, and the place seemed very nice and well-decorated. Initial impressions was good, and our food arrived fast enough, but they got my appetizer order wrong, instead serving us both the same thing. The waiters that served us were a bit on the sour side, and weren't particularly graceful at serving water or cleaning the table. The food wasn't anything special, though my steak was pretty nice, everything else was more or less mediocre considering the normal price range of this place. Getting the check was not fun. Not only did it take forever to get a waiter, we had to go through three waiters to get one to bring the bill. When I was ready to pay, I got tired of waiting again and took the bill up for my credit card. I am not sure why the service was poor, the place wasn't crowded at all.
