    Could do better or worse

Finally tried this place. It was a Wednesday night 730and the place was packed. VERY loud. Small tables cramped together. OK, its NY. I'll deal with it. We ordered spicy tuna roll, eel sushi, salmon sushi, tuna sushi, shrimp tempura roll. The eel was the best I've had. The rolls were pretty good--although the spicy tuna was not spicy at all. Salmon and tuna were good. I'd go again I suppose, but if you want a more relaxed atmosphere where you don't feel rushed, go down the street.

not terrible, but not good either.....

one sure way to judge the quality of a sushi restaurant is on whether or not they have real crab. not only does misu not serve fresh king crab, but they have imitation crab sticks in almost half of their rolls. I've been here a couple of times. not terribly impressive sushi, although you could do worse. Better off going to tomoi or ido sushi in the west village, which is a total different level of food, and the same price.

    Excellent Food -- Excellent Value

Having both dined in at Mizu Sushi and now ordered delivery, I can unequivocally say that this is the best sushi for the money in the entire Murray Hill / Gramercy Park area. My wife and I have tried many but I think we have finally found "the one"!

    Best in the Gramercy/Flatiron Area

Mizu is super fresh. Everything is delicious. I am a serious sushi eater and i promise you its just as good as the more expensive one's in Manhattan.

    Great food, not pretentious

Mizu is probably not the best sushi in Manhattan (that is kind of a ridiculous claim), but is excellent grade at a great value. Since Joe left a couple years ago, Rita the new hostess has really done a nice job connecting with her customers and taking care of the regulars. If you are looking for a place to go that is quiet, romantic, or a fine dining experience, don't go to Mizu. You will be disappointed and write one of these poor reviews below. If you are looking to eat and drink in quantity and quality with friends or to celebrate a fun occasion, definitely go to Mizu and sake bomb your face off with the friendly and courteous staff.
