    not delivering anymore

mizu has apparently suspended all deliveries and is only doing pickup. i can't tell you how disappointing this it.

    Mediocre, at best

Mediocre sushi in a moderately-hip but unpleasantly loud ambiance. Between the poor service and sushi that's barely better than what you can get at the supermarket, there's no reason to go here.

most delicious, inventive sushi in the area by far!

i don't usually eat in at mizu, i'm more of a delivery girl, but not only is their sushi creative, fresh, and just out right, delicious, it is also one of the fastest in terms of delivery that i've tried, even though it is always super busy. mind you, i do go eat there every once in a while and it is a very crowded, noisy place to go out to dinner, but if you're going with friends for a "night out on the town" or for a first date (without trying to be too intimate) i would suggest it. my favorite rolls by far are the: yuki roll, spicy tuna with the crunch, shrimp tempura, karate, & the soft shell crab. mizu, you are my go to for sushi at least 3 times a week! never close

Not Yusuda but a great place

I have eaten at Mizu about a dozen times and taken out about the same. I have not experienced any problems The Sushi is fresh, tasty and well presented. The entres are excellent and they have some of the best rolls in the city. My only issue is that sometimes it can get a little noisy. This is one of the best places for value in the area.

    OK for What It Is

If you're looking for real sushi you probably would know within 5 seconds to avoid this place anyway but just in case: 1. They pre-slice all the fish. The nigiri pieces sit there in stacks. They are very busy, but this takes away GREATLY from the overall taste/quality of the fish. 2. If you are looking for rare or interesting fish, or just want sashimi go elsewhere. 3. None of this matters because the Murray Hill clientele who frequents this place just wants americanized sushi rolls fill with mayo, hot sauce, and "crunchies." If that's what you are into, I'm sure you will love it.

    an open letter

Dear Mizu, When you overcharge me for items, such as an extra $2.00 for terriyaki sauce on my lunch, I don't bring enough money downstairs to tip your delivery men. They then get very upset and complain about me to my office coworkers downstairs which is highly unprofessional and also very rude. I'm not necessarily blaming them, but Mizu needs to sort out why their bills are always more expensive than what they quote you. There are lots of sushi choices in Union Square area and I will not be returning if this continues!

    Great for groups!

I've been to Mizu a couple of times, but the best was before my sister's Bachelorette party. It's a really fun place to do sake bombs, they ring a gong for you! The food is good, not great, but it's a great place to go before going out.
