Love It
This place is a diamond in the rough. The staff is fabulous and the sushi is wonderful. It must be family owned. It is straightforward and offers all your sushi favorites with a much larger offering then most small sushi houses; it is very consistent and always good. We tried every other sushi restaurant within a 20 block radius of our UWS apt. and nothing can hold a candle to Miyako in service, value or quality. Not to mention they have the fastest delivery service I have ever gotten in my neighborhood. It really is a place where they know your name.

Surprisingly high quality and delicious
I tried Miyako based on the reviews here and I was really surprised at how quick the delivery was, how delicious each of the foods were, and how the food was better quality than what I would expect for delivery. The dinner bento box is a true bargain and you get to sample various dishes that are quite delicious! Shiu mai was full of flavor and I even ate hijiki which I don't normally even eat! Sushi was fresh and the rolls were flavorful and balanced in flavor. Even the miso soup arrived hot (amazing). My sister ordered Salmon Teriyaki which looked like the best salmon teriyaki I've ever seen for delivery. I've ordered at Planet Sushi since moving to the UWS and was horribly traumatized since then and haven't ordered Japanese for delivery since then but now I am a true sucker for Miyako Sushi.

I order from Miyako all the time and I love it. The food is fresh and delicious and the service reliable. Highly recommended.

All around pleasant experience
My new favorite UWS sushi spot. Varied menu with good quality. Very good service in a nice, comfortable atmosphere. Not expensive either. Just as good as Yuki except cheaper and less crowded.

We've tried ordering out from several sushi places on UWS, so far this is the best.

Good service but food was not too good
Spicy tuna was way too spicy for the tuna to come through. The rice was too tough. I wasn't expecting super results - especially for a place where you get $9 lunch specials but it could have been better. Service was good. Very friendly. Although I don't think I will go again.
