Miyako Sushi

Recently moved to UWS and thought I'd try out Miyako. Got take out and it was very disappointing. The portions were very small. This would be ok if the food tasted good, but unfortunately it was the most disappointing Japanese food I've ever had. The Kani salad only tasted like mayonnaise. The tuna tartar was tasteless and the sauce to go with it didn't help at all. Scallions wrapped in beef tasted like thy used a very cheap, poor quality beef that was also overcooked. The fried udon was ok, nothing spectacular. All in all a huge waste of $50.

Good for takeout. Not bad for dine-in, but usually filled with obnoxious Upper West Siders and their bratty kids (you know what im talking about). And because it's a small place, it's hard to get away from these people. Service always good, and fast. My choice for Good Value Sushi!

This little sushi joint has by far the best sushi on the UWS. I am a very picky sushi eater and have not come across many sushi restaurants that I am impressed with. The sushi here is fresh, delicious, and the rolls are a nice size. Whenever I want sushi on the UWS, I only go to Miyako!

Tempura wasn't great, it was very greasy and the oil on it tasted old. Sushi was decent, definitely not the best in the area. Service was good.

I both order out and eat at Miyako very often. The people are friendly and polite, the delivery service is fast and they have the best japanese food I've ever had in the city. Two thumbs up!

I do eat sushi very often (all over the world). compare to those experiences I have to say Miyako is a quite good. I go there very often, because the quality of food is great and the prices are the best on the uws if it comes to real japanese food. the bento box for dinner is a great deal and offers a variety of diffrent tastes- ideal if you cannot make up your mind:) the lunch-deals are great as well. If you are in the neighborhood- give it a try. I really love it

They have a wonderfully priced lunch special! Great sushi and at wonderful price! 5 Stars!
