    Sad news

The restaurant has closed after 20 years ! Owners retired . The neighborhood will not be the same . Need to find a place that makes Chirashi as good . will be hard to replace .

    Unfortunate experience

I never write negative reviews, but unfortunately I had a terrible dinner at Miyagi this evening that I could not ignore. The service was extremely overwhelmed and flustered which was disappointing. That is excusable, but every dish was unpleasant which

    a west village gem

Miyagi is a lovely neighborhood place, quiet, authentic and not really trying to be anything other than a great place to have a Japanese meal. The staff is professional and the real thing, not trendy and not seeking approval from the private equity crowd

    Great local spot!

I live in the neighborhood and always find Miyagi a perfect spot for a low-key, enjoyable evening. Never too crowded, sushi is always fresh and service is nice. Would recommend.

    Such subpar food

I am surprised that a simple order of salmon sushi, yellow tail and tuna tasted so fishy. I really could not eat it. So annoying. I ordered delivery, so I cannot say anything about the restaurant. But the food was really subpar. The guy taking my order wa
