The food was pretty good, but the service was very, very slow. Our drinks were never re-filled. Best banana pudding I have ever had, however I am not sure if it's worth another trip given the poor service.

So good, such nice people. Just leave the cholesterol police at home!

This place as a very homey diner feel with big cakes resting on the counter and an unpretentious checkered tablecloths. The service was great; our waiter was helpful and funny. The portions were huge and each entree comes with 2 sides (collards!) and cornbread. Try the Harlem Brewing Company's Sugar Hill Beer (delicious) and try to eat one of the desserts if you have room (peach cobbler!) Hurray!

We took a group of 22 to Mamie's for brunch. The food was served hot and was quite tasty. My husband and a close friend loved the grits--they cleaned their bowls. One thing restaurant owners should keep in mind, if serving pancakes, waffles, french toast, etc. those selections MUST be served with maple syrup--no imitiation is acceptable. Sure, it's good to have the "fake" kind available, but nothing beats the taste of warm maple syrup--real butter, too! There are just some things that can't be compromised! If you venture to Mamie's, you won't be disappointed--the food is decent--and it's fresh, too!

This restaurant has delicious food for a very reasonable price. My favorite is the fried chicken dinner that comes with two side dishes. The chicken is tender and flavorful and the portions are large. The greens are sweetly spiced with scrumptious bits of pork sprinkled throughout. The macaroni and cheese is cheesy and a bit spicy with a fair amount of pepper in the recipe. I highly recommend this restaurant for people who love soul food.

This place makes you feel like your in Grandma's kitchen...the smell of fried chicken, pie and lemonade. I have to say they have great portions, but try to leave room for their great desserts. The lemonade is the best I have ever had (even better than mine)! Quite a busy place but the staff keeps up with the flow.

This restaurant made us wait 20minutes just to get a table, another 30 just to place an order and by the time we got our food we had waited about 1hour and 30minutes! and for what? A poorly cooked and tastelesss meal sounds just like it! Not Recommended.
