    Disappointed Jamaican

After hearing about the atmosphere and vibe from a friend I decided to take a trip to miss lily's. The music was good and the decor was cool. I had the lobster jacquito and jerk salmon, which was good....not the best Jamaican food ever but that's hard to find in a restaurant. So my friend and I didn't have a reservation and ended up waiting an hour and a half. After waiting all that time we finally got a table in the back part of the restaurant. We had to wait another 15 minutes and actually got the manager to take our order. The drinks took another 15 minutes, however my friend did not get her drink. After asking several people about the drink it never turned up. Our server didn't bother to address us until dessert! She ignored us the whole time. As someone who works in the service industry this has got to be one of the restaurants with poor service.

Cool Jamaican food and vibes found in Soho

Miss Lily's is a chic-n-cool Jamaican joint in the South Village, serving up spicy dishes from this culinary island mecca in the Caribbean. Jamaican food is a mixture of flavors, spices and cooking techniques from the indigenous people of the island, and the Spanish, British, African, and Chinese who inhabited it. I first visited Jamaica in 1997 and fell in love with the hot-n-spicy flavors of their diverse cuisine. This festive hot-spot, styled as a retro 80's luncheonette and filled with chill reggae sounds, is a great choice for exotic but casual comfort food, tropical drinks, and a fashionable night out with friends.

    Yum and fun!

The food was DELICIOUS! So cute, great vibe. A little warm (but you felt like you were on the islands). The lobster jaquitos were teeny tiny but so good, and I'll be thinking about the curry shrimp for a long time. Sure it's pricey but it's nyc. And given how good the food was i can't complain. I was in love. Can't wait to go back.

    I loved it!

I sat at the bar and had a couple sake mixtures. Loved the vibe, the music, the jerk chicken entree and festivals were fabulous.

Shenanigans is the best word to describe what goes down at this restaurant. The first time a friend took me here without a reservation, and we were told we HAD to sit in the front of the empty restaurant in the corner by the window because we were walk-ins. So we walked out. We returned a week later with reservations, wanting to try the food and was made to wait by the bar for 20 mins, when there were over 7 open tables , one being literally a foot in front of us. It just made no sense at all. It was so silly and weird I thought I was on candid camera and began looking around for a red record light. I don't know what it is about this restaurant and their desire to make customers feel "lucky" or privileged to be eating there but they have it all wrong and the shenanigans need to stop. The food is good but overpriced. I wouldn't return to this restaurant if God requested. If you are looking for authentic delicious Jamaican food, with quick service and at a great price, book a trip on Jetblue and fly to Montego bay. Believe me, you will save time and money versus going to Miss Lily's. Seriously.

    Slow service, mediocre food

Went to Miss Lily's at 130 W. Houston. Waited 22 minutes for a sandwich. My friend who ordered after me got his in 10 minutes. By the time we got back to work we were late, his sandwich was cold, and mine was mediocre at best.

    Magical spot!

This place is like no other! Great for girls not wanting to be bothered and meet people that have actually something interesting to say. Food, drinks, staff + prices are very nice. Fun place to go to on top of what a restaurant usually offers. They have the touch!
