The sushi and other food is good, but not great. You can get the same quality for half the price at a couple of places in East Village. My date ordered one roll that was $13. Are you serious? I didn't go to DUMBO to shop at West Elm, ya know? So overall, I'm givinng this place an average rating. If you're in DUMBO and really craving sushi, then go for it. Had I known about it before dinner, we would've gone to Rice, which is nearby, with a much more creative atmosphere, great sake selection, and better prices PLUS gelato! But Rice is not a sushi bar per se -- just Japanese themed.

Anyone that writes negative things about this place obviously doesn't know much about sushi and is most likely ordering california rolls and shrimp tempura only. Miso is great. And the reviewer who commented on the cuts was spot on. I find all of the fish to be very high in quality. Especially the white tuna and wild salmon. I order from here at least once a week and they have never disapointed me. They do a huge delivery business every night. Much of Dumbo residents (including myself) are very thankful for this place! Compared to the other crap in this good food deprived neighborhood! It's also amazingly clean.

Working just a block away means I end up going to Miso at least a couple times a week. The food is always good. If you are vegetarian, I recommend trying the veggie sushi which contains sun-dried tomatoes - deliciously creative. Can't say anything bad about the place.

I disagree with earlier reviews. Perhaps they've improved a bit, but I find this sushi place better than most. The tuna is deep red and fresh, good salmon, interesting roll choices. The miso has some interesting additions as well, not just some paste and scallions. The service was a bit stiff, but the atmosphere is nice.

Owner complained that he not getting enough traffic because there's not enough people in DUMBO (neighborhood) but real reason this place is often empty is because it is ULTRA-mediocre. The food is bland and tasteless. If it were any good, you you have people lining up outside like Grimaldi's pizza around the corner.
