Great sushi
I was visiting this neighborhood and had the sushi lunch here today. I had forgotten what great sushi tastes like. Every piece was perfectly fresh, perfectly cut, and most importantly, I could taste the distinctive flavor and texture of each fish. This gem of a restaurant is definitely worth visiting.

Truly outstanding
The quality of fish here is unreal for the price point. There is no affordable competition in the hood, actually calling the other neighborhood delivery sushi options "competition" is generous. I have been to many of the great sushi destinations in new york and this is just a notch below those. A serious variety of fish, not just the usual boring stuff. You can get mid fat tuna or toro, amber jack and quality uni. Even the spicy tuna roll and miso soup feels more authentic and delicious. The avocado is actually ripe, creamy and delicious(you would think this would be an easy one but most places fail). All the food is clean, freshly prepared; you can tell they care about what is being served to their customers which is as high of a compliment I can give to a place at this price point Service at the restaurant is lovely, the delivery service is second to none. The fact that I can get this delivered to my home is amazing and why I live in new york. I have become a regular. They deserve all the success in the world. Oh and for you wine drinkers, an affordable and friendly corkage policy.

Old neighborhood favorite
This restaurant has been a favorite in the area for many years. If you order grilled fish neck,it is a treat. The sushi and sashimi are always fresh and well proportioned. I would also recommend the green tea ice cream for dessert. The bento boxes for lunch is usually a good deal too. Good for lunch appts or dinner, though it can get crowded. Upstairs has better and private seating.

very fresh sushi
The sushi is very fresh. I found it to be of a higher quality than many local sushi joints. While it is more expensive than many cheap sushi restaurants, it is obviously less expensive than the upscale sushi restaurants that its food mirrors. In summary, the decor / atmosphere is that of any old sushi place, but the food is on par with the Nobu or Haru. Unfortunately, they won't make rolls or sushi with brown rice.

A Good Place
The food here is very good, and the waitstaff are nice. The atmosphere is a bit shabby - not a place you'd take someone to show off, but if you want well prepared, high quality sushi it's a good bet. Prices are not cheap but reasonable. I like this place and have lunch here often, and i'm pretty picky about Japanese food.

Still Pretty good!
We have lived in the 'hood for a couple years now and Mishima is still the consistent favorite. Fresh fish, great specials--love the lobster miso--and solid service.

Not worth it
Pretty standard, nothing special. Sushi slopped together pretty quickly. Fish did not seem all that fresh. Nice sake tasting selection, but that's about it. Go only if you have no other option.
