a place for out of towners
I'm not surprised that most of the reviews were from people visiting the city. I live around the corner, and while the salads are pretty decent, you can get one elsewhere for a few bucks less. I've been charged for items not on my salad (blue cheese when I asked for blue cheese dressing) and then when I mentioned it, I was told there was blue cheese on the salad, and they didn't understand that it was from the dressing, not blue cheese and blue cheese dressing - I basically paid 2 bucks for my salad dressing. Also, somehow I've always had the same person at checkout, and he makes you wait 5 minutes while he chats on the phone - not taking orders! - to pay with cash (something relatively glitch-free). Whenever I go there, there are a few people from offices and mainly tourists - who don't know any better. I'm sure I sound like a snob, but this place is too snooty for a sandwich/salad bar. The bread they serve with the salad is Miro Cafe's only redeeming quality.

Yummy for picky eaters
This is the perfect lunch spot for a picky eater like myself. I love that I can choose exactly what goes in my sandwhich and salad. I'm also addicted to the fresh bread. The premade sushi is just ok, but at least it's nice to have the option of brown rice. However, the sashmi is made to order is really good and big. This is not a cheap sandwich shop, but it's worth the price to get exactly what you like.

Over priced Sandwiches and Salads
I had a basic sandwich....nothing special of turkey, cheese with mustard 15.00 bucks! Small salad 4 items in it for 20.00 bucks! Go across the street and pick up a great sandwich at half the cost. Oh and the guys behind the counter have a not so friendly attitude.

Fave lunch shop in NYC
This is IT! The ULTIMATE sandwhich joint in all of NeW yOrK ciTy! My picky young daughter, who eats all of ten foods, actually ate a sandwich here......wholesome, fresh, healthy, and well priced....when we go back, we usually eat there TWICE< and that is hard to do in NYC< where there are abundant choices...so we make the effort to eat there two times, because the combinations of sandwhich elements are incredible, and the value is great, and it is our overall favorite place to eat in the BiG aPpLe!+

Great food - Delivery Not Recommended
I love the sandwiches here, but the delivery service is quite poor. It also shouldn't take 30-40 minutes for a sandwich delivery.

Can't wait to visit again in July 07
My oldest daughter and I visited NYC in Aug /05 and we lunched at Miro Cafe in SoHo. I am returning with another daughter and a dance troupe (30 people) in July/07. Looking forward to another great lunch at your cafe. Will pass on the good review to the troupe and parents.

Salads and Sandwiches are Great....
Skip the sushi and the "fresh juice". the sushi looks unappetizing and therefore have never actually tried it and the juice always tastes a little off. The salads are great as are the sandwiches - mostly because of the amazing bread.
