    It has potential.

I’ve read the other reviews, and I agree that the staff is top-notch. That being said, there doesn’t seem to be anybody actually tasting the dishes as they leave the kitchen. My date had the aracini (rice balls), which were sort of ordinary. The quill-shaped pasta was much too spicy and while the pork tenderloin with risotto was beautifully cooked and tender, it was much too bland, bordering on tasteless. We’ll try to return after Miranda has worked out a few kinks.

    Excellent.

We've been to Miranda 4 times, once with my parents. The food is quite good. Not everything is great, but it's all very inventive and adds to the conversation. The pasta with mole is to die for. My husband had an excellent corn soup special once. The medialuna (truffled mushroom ravioli) are superb. The steak was meh. The octopus is inconsistent (had it once and it was perfect, next time not as good). But this is definitely a go-to place for us and we will be back regularly. Great ambience, amazing service. Very romantic and reasonable.

    Delicious food + friendly service!

By far the friendliest, most attentive service I've had in a long time! An adorable bus boy served us our choice of three breads along with a pesto infused olive oi. We started with the Polenta Tamales - two perfect packets of polenta, cheese and mole. The Medialuna was delicate and flavorful - and the Tagliatelle was a nice portion of perfectly cooked pasta ribbons with generous portions of mussels, shrimp and calamari. Highly recommended - great for a date!

    Amazing hidden spot!

My husband and I went to this place for the first time last week, and we will def go there again!! We loved it! My husband is picky, he had the churasco, which was amazing.. I had the shrimp home made pasta which was beyond yummy! The atmosphere is so romantic and the people who work there are lovely! Great service :)

    Best service in NY

I have been to Miranda multiple times for brunch & dinner since their opening, and every time was truly fantastic. The same servers have waited on us each time and are genuinely the nicest people I have encountered in a NY restaurant. Other than the impeccable service, the food is excellent! I have yet to get anything I didn't love, same goes for my dining companions. Fabulous restaurant!

    Perfect little place

This is the second review I have ever left. This place is a little gem with the entire staff and owners adding such charm it makes you want to go back, on top of the food being absolutely delicious. Everything is absolutely delicious, with one of our favorites being the shrimp appetizer. Perfect flavors. It is a bit out of the way but you can sit by the windows and watch all the action...we are looking forward to sitting there on a snowy day.

Tasty, Unique food in romantic atmosphere

I love this place! This was my third time there! The first time we ate there I was a little skeptical of the Mexican/Italian combo but the place was so cute that I couldn't pass it up. But they totally delivered. They combine the two kinds of food amazingly. Last night I got a prix fixe for $25! Appetizer, entree and dessert! I got a delicious butternut squash soup, then the gnocchi (with amazing flavors including cotija cheese), then the warm chocolate cake with vanilla gelato and dulce de leche! MMMM! My friends all enjoyed their meals just as much. (My boyfriend had an amazing churasco.) I am not one to write about the service at a restaurant unless it's really good or really bad... But the waiters, bus boys, and owner at this place are SO sweet that that alone makes you want to come back. Between the service, the delicious food and the rustic, elegant atmosphere, you should definitely check it out...
