Iv been a regular at Mint and must say the food is excellent. I live in the neighborhood and Mint is the best choice around here. I definitely recommend them.

My wife and I ate here on a Saturday night in mid-Sept. The food was fantastic, although the portions are NOT gigantic like they are in run-of-the-mill Indian restaurants. It should be noted that Mint specializes in south Indian cuisine, which is emphasized by the existence of several seafood options. I had a fish dish tilapia cooked in a moderately spiced tomato sauce. My wife had the standard chicken tikka masala, which was phenominalsweet and creamy. The chicken was moist and very tender. Their fresh-baked naan is excellent as well. I ordered the kulfi fulooda (spiced ice cream on a bed of cold sweet noodles) for dessert, which was bizarre to say the least. I won't make that mistake again. I assume it's a regional delicacy (if not, it should really be removed from the menu). Overall, the service was good, but the food was overpriced ($6 to $8 for rice depending on the type) even though it was very well prepared.

I'm not a big fan of rating restaurants, but this was not good Indian Food I have ever had. Plus, the service was poor. I went by myself and ordered an appetizer, one dish and some bread. It took a 40 minutes to get my appetizer and another 35 to get my dinner. I had to ask twice for the check and the chicken tikka masala was so tough I had to use a knife. The garlic naan was more like a cracker as it was burnt. Never again while I go there.

The food portions were small, the service was poor, the decor was trendy but most importantly the food was bad. Chicken Tikka is the 'big mac' of indian food and this was just too sweet and for $18 a rip-off. The Rogan Josh had goat, and for $18 this should have had lamb, or they should have specified before taking the order. The mango lassi was good, but its hard to get that wrong. The naan was yummy, again, hard to get wrong. The lamb appetizers were pretty good. The okra was good, but very overpriced. Overall this place was a waste of a Friday night and $100 for 2 people. Go to Sapphire instead.

So we went there last thursday and left very disappointed. The drinks were not good.... dont try the Bollywood martinis. The music very loud and annoying. The service was the poor. We had to wait for two drinks for a long time. Our server didnt know what he was talking about when we asked about the wine. The only thing that was good was the food. im glad the food didnt change but otherwise after coming back long time ago, everything else has declined and not the same.

I've been here several times, and there are always two main things that come up: 1) The food is awesome, just awesome 2) The service is average So if you can get past the main (older) waiter's abrupt attitude, it is so worth the food. Our favorites are the Chana, Paneer and Dal....can't go wrong.
