I eat at Minar for lunch at least once a week and absolutely love it. For under $7 I get a large amount of food, and the chicken tikka masala is delicious as is the naan and rice, and salad. The sauce has just the right level of spice and flavor. As for the decor, it is reminiscent of a cafeteria. I tend to bring a book or magazine with me, and read while I eat as it is the perfect atmosphere for that. This is not the place to impress clients, but if you are in the mood for a great meal at a low price, check it out.

The food is great, especially the fish curry. I eat from here at least 2 times a week. The prices are great and they serve enough for two people.

I've been to many Indian restaurants in NYC, Cali, London and India. I decided to try delivery from Minar based on the reviews on this website. Unfortunately, the service was poor as the person who picked up the phone was rude. I could have lived with this if the food was good but as you may be able to guess it was not. All the dishes was quite bland , too oily, lack of spices etc.

This place is really, really good. I had been looking for a good Indian in Chelsea for quite some time and this is it! I got a vegetable entre, rice, naan and a mango lassi, all for under ten dollars! I even have enough food left to enjoy a second Indian lunch next week. Yummmmy! :-)

We don't often visit Minar, since the atmosphere is not the best. But the food excellent. We have had more than a few parties catered by them, they do an excellent job. The food is good, good value for your money.... We also had them send us a waiter on one occasion, who was very decent, he also cleaned up afterwards. Ask them to cater your next party, you won't be disappointed.

We eat a lot of Indian food, including at places a lot more expensive. The food here is better than that at almost anywhere else I've eaten. If you order aloo gobi (cauliflower with potatoes) or chicken tikka masala anywhere else, you are doomed to disappointment! Also, the truly delicious raita (yogurt with cucumber) that comes with every dish can be ordered in larger quantities very inexpensively.

I eat minar every thursday and saturday. If I miss a day or I am out of town I make sure I have some in my fridge waiting for me when I get home. The food is delicious and I especially love the tikki masala.
