The food is great, and the prices reasonable. I picked up lunch from Minar a couple of times before and loved how spicy and flavourfull the food is, without too much grease. Love their vegeterian selection! Definitely worth a try.

I've been to Minar a few times, and while its not the most stylish place around, the food is excellent. The make the BEST chicken tikka masala ive ever had (and ive had a lot), and a wonderful shrimp curry (which they only have on fridays). The people are nice, the service is good and the food is cheap. It's a great place for lunch.

After 20 plus years Minar is still amazing! Always good. I miss the days back on E. 27th street.

Minar is one of my regular places to get takeout from for lunch. It is fast, inexpensive, and has good variety of tasty food. A must try for anyone looking for a quick Indian meal!

Sure it is like a cafeteria but that is part of Minar's charm. I have been going to Minar for YEARS. It is a wonderful place for a quick lunch. You can sit there and eat while you read some of the free South Asian local newspapers that are provided. Minar also does catering and I have worked with them on several events around the city. Nitu (the owner) is super helpful and will work with you on whatever your budget. I haven't been to the location on 46th Street but can absolutely vouch for this place. It is NOT fancy but it is ALL ABOUT THE FOOD.

I always get the Alou Ghobi w/ rice and naan and it is always good. Service is quick and the amount of food that you get for the price is well worth it (usually turns into two days of lunch for me when getting take out). Eatting in the place isn't the greatest as it gets packed at lunch and it isn't really a "pretty" interior. More cafeteria style but that is fine because you don't go here for the atmosphere you go for a cheap lunch.

Love the food, the atmosphere is the only down-side, because its like a small cafeteria. Definitely vegetarian friendly, and the chicken dishes are out of sight! Fast delivery, sometimes they mix up an order, but if you are calm, they will correct it (it happens, its a busy restaurant afterall). Its even good when you re-heat it later! Minar is one of the best Indian restaurants in the city!
