Great Food/Very Slow Delivery
It has been 90 minutes and my food isn't here. I'm hungry.

Hands down, best Indian food in Manhattan
Once you get past the bustling ladies at the counter and sit down to an incredible meat combo of Chicken Tikka Masala, Alu Gohbi and Saag Paneer you are in heaven. This place rocks and for under ten dollars it is my lunch spot of choice three times a week. The Okra dish on Fridays is beyond...

Highly recommended!!!
I love the food here... it is one place where the taste is very close to home made Indian food. But this is definitely not a place to bring a date!!! The seating arrangement is not very good. But for the food and price, it is worth it. It's more like a deli.

Best place to eat in Times Square
Reliably delicious. No disappointments. And the price is right.

Poor Food - Authentic Atmosphere
Minar on 46th has a very authentic atmosphere, but the food is certainly sub-par to say the least. It is not cheap at all for the kind of operation in effect. I am an ardent fan of Indian food, but this is a compromise you do not want to make.

Great Food, Inconsistent Menu
This is the best (and only) South Indian food in midtown. I often order their Dosas or Uttapams over the phone because they are prepared from scratch, unlike the buffett style North Indian food, and take longer to make. I've never been disappointed with the quality. However, I am a little upset that sometimes I'll order a take-out menu item and hear "we don't make it anymore" but will ask for the same thing the next time and get it. On second thought, I guess that uncertainity just builds the anticipation...
