Worth a visit
A good spot to go for a lunch under 10 bucks. Cafateria style set up. Food portions are acceptable and prices are decent. I have not tried ordering anything off of their menu yet. I did not eat Indian food until my friends got me to try this place. Now, I eat there at least once a week.

Outstanding food
You get what you expect when walking into this diner with paper and plastic utensils. Don't expect gourmet waiter service, you're not paying for it. The specials are amazing - Friday's Chicken Cilantro, Monday's chicken zalfreizei, and Shahi Korma chicken anytime. They are also one of the few North Indian restaurants that actually manage decent south indian (dosa etc). They have been getting better on portion control though.

Good taste, small servings
They really Guju you on the portions here. Their hand is shaking when they spoon your food to be sure not to giv you too much. It is very tasty and has good variety. Nothing is really spicy though.

good, cheap but not much
I got a whole meal for under 10 dollars, and despite the cafeteria atmosphere the food was delicious. My only complaint isn the small rationing. In get a big plate of rice a big piece of naan and then a tiny bowl of food. Good for the money and a quick snack

Great Food, turning into a recession savvy joint
I have nothing against this place. In fact I have been coming these folks for the past 4 years, and they make the most amazing Lamb Biryani. My only observation is (not a complaint) that they have been saving on portions. I understand that restaurant business has been taken a big hit recently, but sooner or later they have to realize that we always come for their quality of food and large portions. Compromising either may be detrimental to their large client base. I wish them well and hope they continue to make amazing food and feeding thousands of hungry New Yorkers.

Are these other reviewers kidding?
I have never walked away from a meal here feeling hungry. The portions are generous and the food is incredible. Spiciness varies widely from day-to-day, but that is expected from authentic fresh cooked food. Try the fish curry! Best in the city.
