Poor customer service
The poorest customer service ever. I placed a delivery order for lunch on their website, and after not receiving my food after an hour, had to call both locations who BOTH insisted that I didn't order anything, who kept pulling me on hold, and finally after a very frustrating argument with the girl on the phone, they magically found my order.

Surprisingly good
I've had hit and miss with the portions and service quality in the past. They range from cute and friendly to arrogant and miserly to an unbelievable degree. Depends on the person behind the counter and time of day (they are really uptight during the lunch rush, when queues can be huge, so it's probably a function of their stress at that time). Also, when the owner's wife is there behind thec ounter, they all tremble :) I ordered some south Indian food today on a whim (Dosa) as my office is right across from them - for pick up. I don't go there expecting a 5 star restaurant atmosphere, and this just hit the spot on a cold and windy day. Full marks for food quality, and for a quick pick-up, nothing else was really assessable.

Excellent food, terrible service
The food is outstanding. Putting it up against the cheap Indian diners (where it belongs, given its atmosphere and pricing) it performs admirably. But, the service, absolutely abysmal. Ranging from extraordinarily miserly portions (on one occasion, they removed food from my plate after serving as they thought they had given me too much), to a hawk-like watch over condiments (extra .50c for chili - standard at most Indian restaurants) to an insulting questioning of customer integrity through tactics such as not returning credit cards until they have inspected the signature (and presumably tip). Unnecessary, as the food speaks for itself.

not full
This place! OMG! Good food indeed but darn its expensive for what you pay for. Spent $8.75 on some eats and wasn't nearly full. No plans on going back :(

Great food, other stuff as you would expect
The food is excellent, especially on Fridays when they have a ton of great specials It's a diner, folks. Not high end restaurant. I don't expect fancy plates and tables, or somelier waiter service. You get what you pay for, and in the case of the food, it's a bargain

Excellent food, service/atmosphere what you expect from a diner
I agree that Fridays are the best days. They have the green Chicken (cilantro) and potato curry (aloo dum) both of which you can get in a combo package that is really good value for money. Don't exepct a fancy sit down restaurant with table service, and you won't be disappointed with the decor or service!

Make sure you visit on Fridays!
Friday specials are amazing. Try the Chicken Cilantro (Coriander - dhania) - a unique Indian dish I've rarely seen done properly elsewhere in the US. Aloo Dum (potato curry) as well - really oustanding. The other days are not bad either - though more standard. Make sure you push them to give you decent portions though. They will instinctively just give you a slither - but if you ask for a little more of what you like (eg more gravy, or more potato etc) they will happily oblige.
