Finally a dumpling in New York that isn't encased in an overly thick, doughy skin. The dumplings at Mimi Cheng's all have a very thin, almost translucent quality to them. I ordered all 3 flavors and they were all very fresh. The veggie one was surprisingly delicious. Extremely green, good bites of egg, good texture. No mushy fillers. The chicken one was my other favorite. My boyfriend enjoyed the pork one the most. We got all 3 pan-fried, yum! The housemade drinks were good. We shared a strawberry lemonade which was made with fresh strawberries. Who takes the time to do that anymore?!
