I attended a dinner party here. It was great. The customer service was excellent. The drinks were amazing. The food was perfectly seasoned. I recommend this restaurant.

If it was not for my amazing company at the restaurant on 9.21.13 for my birthday dinner I would have been extremely furious. Here's was our experience. . . we entered the restaurant and had to wait to be acknowledged by staff at the entrance. Once seated for dinner no one came around to learn if we wanted more drinks - I had a table full of serious drinkers. Granted some of our guests arrived late (my party grew to 17 people), we asked if we could get the table across from us and was told no because it was already reserved. Well the "reserved" table was empty to whole time we were seated downstairs for dinner and after we left 4 hours later. My cousin and her husband was seated in another part of the restaurant where their servers took their appetizers twice to another table, their main course was given to another table and they had to wait forever for their bill. One of my guest's pork chops arrived not hot from the kitchen. Then we arrived upstairs to do drinks - a party of 14 people, our reserved seating was non existent, some of my guests were served drinks in plastic cups while others had glasses. Yes they comped us a bottle of Champagne after my party organizers had a 30 minute discussion with the manager regarding our experience . . .so thank you however we were so turned off by our experience that we did not want to spend any more money at your establishment. They have a beautiful venue however half of my guests visited the establishment at least twice and were not pleased with the service and experience. My party had major influencers in attendance representing Fortune 500 companies, the media, bloggers, public relations, and the local surrounding neighborhoods (Fort Greene, Clinton Hill, Crown Heights and Bed Stuy) and some traveled as far as Riverdale and Long Island and we can not honestly recommend the establishment to others.

Milk River is a nice spot to hang with the fellows. The food is very good, the crowd is grown and classy, and the ambience is very inviting (chandeliers, big white lounge booths, modern unisex bathroom, and the staff is an attractive bunch). For dinner I had the sweet and sour lollipop chicken wings (appetizer) and the Jerk Lamb chops with mashed potatoes; and not to over exargerate the drinks were awesome and reasonable. The food and serivce was great. The menu is short, but surely tasteful. I highly recommend this place. The live entertainment was incredible the band had me on my feet for an hour straight, awesome vibes. The second floor has a sports bar feel to it, but on the right night you can get your dance on, there is a DJ. I had a fantastic evening. - Enjoy Life. Let it flow... MILK RIVER
