The servers isn't great. If they don't want the customers to try the samples, they should not put any out. Too much attitude in this place. Also, the cookies are more sugary than they need to be. Too bad... the place is adorable and the location is lovely. I don't want to continue giving them my money and will get my sweet fix elsewhere.

While visiting my son in NYC I saw this while walking in the neighborhood. It looked so cute and the name conjured up warm memories of "milk and cookies". Too bad the rude and indifferent young woman behind the counter did not get the memo that impressions are everything. She was impatient when I apparently was too slow making up my mind (even though there was no one else in line and only one customer at a table). There were cookie samples on a tray so I took one and my son did as well. She quickly moved the tray toward the back of the counter as if we had done something wrong or she was afraid we were going to eat all the samples! After I paid for our box of cookies, she barely squeezed out a thank you...and it was muttered. I don't care how good of a product you have to offer, if your staff is allowed to act like this toward the customer, then management obviously doesn't care. Yes, the cookie was good..but the experience was sour. It is too bad, as the location is near my son's residence and I visit frequently..but "Milk and Cookies" will not be on my list of places to visit in the future.

The cookies are amazing as they should be for the price, but the staff is doing you a favor.

I went into this shop when I was showing a visitor around NYC. I arrived at the counter and the guy behind said, "Can I help you?!" as in he had no idea why I was there. I bought two cookies which were good, but the service was poor. My visitor said that she hardly saw any rude people in NYC, but remembers this guy vividly since he was rude.

go here all the time despite the tude', that is until they got my order wrong on a 2 cookie order. the counter dude got both cookies wrong. for $ 1.80 a cookie they can at least listen to your order and give the customer what they want so they leave and go home and eat said cookies. next time i guess i will just go in and eat all the freebies and be that annoying tourista customer that they seem to want in there shop.

I wanted a cookie so I decided to try Milk & Cookies. I had read great reviews and was very excited for a ncie warm cookie & a glass of milk...well I guess things have changed since last year or maybe it was just bad timing. I went at around 8 oclock on a Tuesday...the place was empty..there was one person behind the counter & when I walked in all she said was what do you want? So, I had no time to look around much but I ended up with the 3 cookie deal...which isn't really a deal if you ask me for $5 I could just buy a bag of oreos & milk... I got a chocolate chip, sugar, and white chocolate. They were not warm, all the cookies were sitting on trays and there were lots of them so I doubt they had been freshly baked. I took my cookies home and put the chocolate chip in the microwave to warm it...pretty good I liked the chips, very rich good chocolate, although it is not your typical chocolate chip cookie I'm not sure if there was oatmeal in it but it was good. The sugar cookie was okay it had a lemon flavor to it. The white chocolate chip...was not good it tasted like it had been frozen/weird cardboard flavor. I was so disappointed the cookies were hard and just average. I would have rather had peperidge farm cookies...I wont' be going back. Although I'm sure when they are fresh out of the over they're good...

This place is adorable. Stumbled on this place earlier in the year and I went back again last night for a cookie fix. All their cookies are great, but I recommend the White Chocolate Macadameia one.
