I'm from out of town, Northern California, and I brought high school students to the Columbia Scholastic Press Association spring convention at Columbia U. So for lunch today, I walked two blocks south of campus to Milano Market, where I ordered and then ate the Best. Hot. Pastrami. Sandwich. Ever. A genuine New York City Reuben, with tons of hot pastrami, melted cheese, very subtle sour kraut, deli mustard on a hero roll. ... Absolutely unbelievable. ... I mentioned to the guys behind the counter that I was from out of the area, California, and I wanted pastrami. Hot? they asked. Yes! What kind of roll? they asked. ... Whatever gives me the best hot pastrami NYC has to offer. ... "California!" they called out a few minutes later. I walked it back to the campus, found a spot to sit, opened it up and ... Boom! The competition is over. Milano wins. ... I'll be back, maybe tomorrow.

I received top rate service, and with smiles all around. The man cutting the cold cuts offered suggestions on the variety I was seeking for a party. The cashiers were friendly and helpful. I don't live in the area, but I make it a point to go to Milano when I'm having company.

Great staff, they're always funny and polite. The sandwiches don't skimp out like most other places do. They give you more bang for your buck. The imported foods and cheeses are overwhelming because of how big a variety there is, and someone is always available to help. The sandwiches are out of this world outrageous, and the salads are delicious as well. LOVE this place!!!

I had heard good things about the Milano Deli so I decided to go in for a try. The bread on my ham sandwich was too hard and the lettuce was a bit on the soggy side. The prices weren't too bad though. The guy taking my order also seemed to have woken up on the wrong side of the bed. I think I might try 7-11 next time.

I come here every so often and it never disappoints. They have an amazing salad selection and their sandwiches are amazing. The M-6 was my favorite. I never leave this place without the Oreo cheesecake...my favorite thing at Milano. It's so worth the extra money

Tried it the other day, unbelievable! Outstanding breads. If you don't mind spending a little extra for perfection then this is the place.
