Good quality deli meats / very rude service

I've been a loyal fan of both Milano's on the UES and Morningside Heights for about 9 years now. The quality of meat is very good and the sandwiches are usually a cut above. However, between the inexplicably yet constantly rude service at this location (understood that we're in NYC, but you don't pay $9-$12 to be scoffed at when someone doesn't hear your order correctly), overpriced menu (I get it for an over-stuffed sandwich on a huge roll that will last you 2 meals; I don't for their smaller sandwiches and pretty much everything else in the store), and occasionally stale food (e.g., the bread at the end of the week & the crackers lately), I've kind of had it with this location. This is sad because it should be a great deli and the issues I've listed are completely preventable.

MIA menu items and a little below mediocre food

Many of the menu items are not available and they have a minimum $15 delivery that is not published. Additionally, the quality of the food I tried (some sandwiches, salads, pasta and desserts) is not so good -- much of it is over-seasoned and does not taste fresh.

    Try making stuff Fresh

Things look better when they are behind glass. This place has good quick prepared food when its fresh, sadly that is only 1 day a week, I think Monday. Its clear they reuse the food every day b/c when you go in there late in the week there supply is depleted and everything tastes subpar. From their vegetables which often are sour and inedible to their chicken cutlets which get so dry and hard you can break a knife cutting them. I drew the line when the stuffed shells had bad ricotta. I may never eat stuffed shells again. They do make a good sandwhich, but they will charge like $9 for it.

    great food, not customer service

This place makes awesome sandwiches and has a huge selection of other deli items however the customer service sucks. Everyone behind the counter appears to hate working there. There is somewhat of a system to ordering there but if you are a newcomer, you would have no idea what it is. Also, they have a very long list of sandwiches that they make but they are not posted anywhere. I continue to go back there because the food is so good and it's very close to where I live.

    Great Place

I've been coming here for 5 years and am surprised not to see any reviews here. This place makes the absolute best sandwiches in the area. Also, they have an incredible array of italian meats to choose from. The prepared foods are also very good and fresh.
