yum!
We decided to take a trek from Brooklyn and it was really worth it! my husband loved the Grandma Pizza! He couldn't stop talking about the flavor, being lactose intolerant I opted for the vegetable pizza, it was good, well done and the prices are not outrageous.

pretty good!
Based on the reviews, we tried Mike's for delivery- and ordered the broccoli, an arugula salad and a large pie with anchovies on half. The person who answered the phone was courteous and told me the order would be delivered within 30 minutes. The food arrived faster than he said but was not piping hot. HOWever, it was yummy. Nothing was overcooked and the mushroom dressing (though a little salty) was good. Did anyone mention the pizza is certified Kosher?! Just another bonus!

Clean, tasty, friendly!
I have been coming to Mike's almost weekly with two young children. The staff is friendly and accommodating. I can almost always find space to sit. The facility is very clean (sometime hard to find in NYC). We love Mike's and when I say "Let's go out", the oldest wants Mike's immediately.

hitting stride
the personal pies are really great. the service is considerate. the seating is nice. when the place isnt packed (which is often) you can have a really nice dinner at a very low price. not a typical pizzeria.

Delicious Food and Good Service
My wife and I ate here last night for the first time. The food was absolutely delicious. The service was very good. As the restaurant is both small and popular, it gets crowded, so I could see where someone could have an experience of poor service. But my impression is that any such negative experience would be due to service staff becoming too busy, rather than to any deficiency in their attitude, which I found to be positive and helpful.

Dissatisfying service, satisfying pizza
I've had 3 experiences here: during the first, after they had just opened, we waited in line for 15 mins, and when it came our turn to order, we were told that they were too busy and could not take our order. We left. The 2nd, we were a group of 4 with a large order and were asked to vacate our table just as the last bite was finished. The 3rd- I sat down at a table awaiting my friend for dinner but was told that I may be asked to move to a smaller table--there were plenty available. The positive? The pizza is good. But the gnocchi is packaged. I'll only go back if I have to, I am very disappointed overall.

not just pizza..
This place gets very busy on the weekends and for good reason. The pasta is in-house made, the ice cream is in-house made, the anti-pasta is in-house made, the mozzarella is house made. Everything is super fresh and the place is very clean. sometimes its a bit crazy in there because its not that big. you can always order delivery during prime time to avoid the chaos.
