    Always my first choice!

I can't even count how many times I've eaten here or had my lunch delivered to my office, which is nearby. They make me feel like I'm their most important customer: they keep notes of what I like, and are always kind and quick. The food is superb, and they also acommodate custom changes without a problem. Their kitchen is clean, and the food never greasy. I always feel like I'm getting way more that I've paid for!

    Dropping in Expectation

I've been going to Migita for a little over five years and have never been disappointed. From the complimentary plum wine, to delicious fresh sushi, to even being treated to things off menu for free. I love the friendly staff there and even flattered that they remember us every time. But I took a few weeks off from Migita to indulge in a near by sushi restaurant. Upon my return to the restaurant recently, I noticed a drastic change for the worst. Less food is being served and for the same prices. The food is still excellent, but they are cutting the sushi thinner and giving you less for your money. Be it that every so often a free plum wine is given, but it has gotten so bad that I have retired from Migita. And now I simply go straight to the near by sushi restaurants that proves as excellent competition for Migita. Because for the same price, they give you so much more.

    Happy Couple

As someone who doesn't like sushi married to someone who LOVES sushi this restaurant is amazing! My husband loves this place for their delicious sushi + I really enjoy the chicken tempura. The staff is SO friendly and eager to help. Nice ambience. So glad to have found it + can't wait to take all of my friends.

    A long time customer

I was surprised to read negative reviews about Migita. I have been a diner at this establishment for over 3 years and have never experienced anything but the best service and quality food. The dining area is small giving the restaurant an intimate feel. This is part of the charm. I don't think you could get the full Migita experience by ordering take out. The quality of the food is fantastic; I would never compare it to the Styrofoam sushi you find in malls. It is all fresh and delicious.

    Slow lunch service

The food was great but the 40 min wait for lunch left a bad taste in our mouths. Even more that the table next to us was given free plumb wine for waiting 1/2 as long as we did and us nothing. This plus the waitress brought the wrong lunch to someone at our table, and forgot his drink.

    Good, but not great.

The sushi was ok, but I have definitely had better. I bought (for myself only) $70 of assorted sushi and special rolls. Most were either ok or lackluster, a couple pretty good. I'm not saying they were bad, but for a restaurant they could have had more texture and flavor. Nonetheless, I finished every last bit. My waitress was very charming and attentive. Not a bad place, but for about the same money I know a place in Manhattan, and another in Bensonhurst that are better.

    Delicious!

We had the pork gyoza, edamame, the house sushi and a special roll with shrimp tempura, avocado, and mango sauce topped with caviar. Everything was excellent. The Lychee and Sake martinis are great and reasonably priced, and the dessert wine is excellent.
