Micky is rolling over
I took my boyfriend there for his b-day. We knew we were not going for great food, but as Yankee fans we thought it would be great at least for Yankee moments. There was minimal Yankee or even Mickey memorabilia. Instead of being a Yankee hangout, it's a shill for selling rock star and other sports team stuff. What a letdown. The food was nothing special and way overpriced. Worst, my $20 lobster roll tasted like inedible fake crab meat. My boyfriend's filet mignon was salvageable, but for the price you pay, it should be a treat. Our waitress was frazzeled although the place was mostly empty. I don't blame her though the tourists were pretty bad. I especially love the family that thought letting their little sunshine roller skate endlessly around our table was a good idea. I usually live and let live if I don't like a place, but I don't want other Yankee fans to suffer the expensive letdown. Honestly, this place is an insult to Mickey Mantle's name.

Will not be going back...
tried this place for the first time and was very disappointed in the food and the service. spent $100 on dinner for two for a burger that was nothing special and a filet mignon that was undercooked then when asked to cooked to medium was nuked in the microwave and returned medium well within 2 minutes. the fact that it was empty at 6:30 on a saturday should have been our clue to not stay...

Only Red Sox fans would not love Mantle'
You would have to be a total Yankee hater to not love this place. Wings (don't go too hot or you will need a fire extinguisher) are fantastic, beer is cold, service is tremendous and the atmosphere cannot be topped. Must stop for all Yankee fans..... BoSox fans, don't bother dropping in if you are only going to disrespect the place. For crying out loud, give the Mick his propers.....

Wonderful!
One of the best steaks I've had. (and I've had a lot) Cut with a fork tender. Great taste. Plus all the Yankee/Mantle atmosphere. Loved it.

Solid!
I am very dissapointed with many of the reviews I read about the Mick's namesake restaurant on the web. I am a born and raised New Yorker, and I love Mickey's! It is solid food with great service. People have become snobs and it seems they don't appreciate establishments that have survived through thick and thin and the up and downs as I have in my 45 years as a NY'er Mick's is as New York City as you can get and I commend the family, owners, and whoever else has kept this retaurant legend alive. It ain't Bolud and it ain't Flay and it ain't a trendy metro-sexual hive: it is the Mick's place! A place where you feel comfortable, get a brew, watch a game, bring the fam, and eat some wings. When I retire from NYPD in 3 years, I think I might spend my days at Mick's wtahcing the games, eating the wings, and enjoying the company!

We Loved it!
I went to Mickey Mantles while on a trip to NYC with my boyfriend this past week. We are HUGE Yankee fans, and have heard great things about the restaurant so we wanted to give it a shot. The restaurant itself is amazing. Its HUGE, and there are a million flat screen TV's that were playing the game (my BF loved that). There are tons sports pictures and things all over the walls that we spent some time looking at. We eventually sat in the front window that gave us an amazing view of the horses and carriages, and central park. The menu is huge--everything from salads to BBQ ribs. We had a great waitress who answered all of our "city" questions. I have told all my Yankee-loving friends to stop by when in the city- it was so much fun for us both and we can't wait to go back before a game!

Go for the FUN of it
I heard the food wasn't great or the service, but go because it would be great FUN for the kids to see the photos and and feel the feel of the YANKESS, and my kids had the BEST time and felt as if they went someplace special, not everything is about food!!
