The food was pretty good. The service was not great. I came in with my boyfriend and the waiter catered very little to us. He paid more attention to tables with groups. Mostly older people dine here. We didn't enjoy ourselves too much. Might not be the best place for couples.

We tried Michaels at the request of his uncle and we were thrilled that we did. The food was really great from the bread, the sopressata and the olives. My husband and our guest had the braciole and raved about it. We will definitely be back. Truly a great place.

Though my family lived close to this restaurant for several years I had never been there. My fiance's family have been regulars for close to 20 years. The first time he took me to this restaurant I was very surprised, it is truly a hidden gem, the outside is so unassuming, the inside is warm and inviting. I agree with the other post about ordering the special. Though this is an Italian restaurant I have never had a typical Italian American dish there, everything else is just way too good to pass up. We have enjoyed the the double cut veal chop, rack of lamb, filet mignon, and the beef short ribs. The portions are large and the desserts are pretty generous too, so bring a health appetite.

We've been there several times in 2009. The service is excellent, especially when we are there with young children. Children are treated like family. Suggestion, eat the daily specials. We enjoy the food, especially the sea food. Avoid the trite dishes that you enjoy at a pizzeria. We will return a few more times before December 31st -- that is the best compliment we can give to Michael's.
