Dry, overpriced crabcake for lunch
I've only eaten here once and it was for lunch. The prices were a little higher than I thought they would be. I had a $20 crab cake sandwich that was not good. I recommend Cipriani's across the way instead. MJ's prices are not any better and the food is much more subpar.

Mediocre steak
My company went here for dinner, so I didn't have to pay. Otherwise, I would have tried running out on the bill. I ordered the 16 oz NY strip steak that goes for $40. What I got was something that was crusted with salt and pepper. Apparently at Jordan's medium rare means not the slightest bit cooked. And the piece of "meat" was 50 percent grizzle. Friendly service and really good appetizers and side dishes. Plus the person who ordered the ahi tuna was very satisfied. My take on it is this: Jordan's is a great steakhouse if you're a vegetarian. But the bottom line is the restaurant is overpriced and the steak is bad.

Unpleasant, and most uncomfortable, Dining Experience
First time, but here's my Jordan's review: The waiter was intrusive, pushy, over-bearing, insulting, and downright rude. We ordered wine at OUR price range, in the $40's, which was closer to $5 retail - so that's already an 80% markup. The waiter kept INSISTING on recommending his wine and OF COURSE went straight for the $275 bottles, attempting to embarass my dinner partner for having picked out an affordable choice of wine for us. When we did order before dinner cocktails instead of a bottle, he said, oh are you sure you won't have wine with those fabulous steak - (as if the horror of horrors had just been committed)- shall I go ahead and recommend a wine so I can uncork it for you. No, move away from our table, leave us alone unless we ask for something. It was like being hi-jacked, and in hind-sight we both would have gotten up to leave. Half hour after being seated we finally got our drinks. And it didn't stop there, 'no greens?' was the song sung the moment we ordered our dinner. No, no greens, if we wanted greens we would have ordered them! The Maitre D had to come and apology to the table of 6 next to us, because of this waiter’s haggling interference with the enjoyment of everyone's dining experiences. This is a fine restaurant, not a used car shop!

Mike Jordan does it right...
I went to Jordan's steak house this past saturday for my birthday and it was amazing. The waiters were on their A-Game, constantly checking in on my table. The meat was cooked to a perfection and the birthday cake fed four people with ONE slice. This is my second time there and it does not cease to amaze me. Also the atmosphere is incredible due to its location in Grand Central Station. Don't forget to try the seafood appetizer for four, it is amazing and is served chilled in a very elegant fashion.

They need to have most of there menu items available. They ran out the night I went with many of there menu items. The food was not so great, the steak was a bad fatty cut. For these prices I can get a better steak house with better food and service. I will never go back here again.

Well I really liked it
A lot of people seem to disagree with me but i thought the service and quality of food was first class. I went on the recommendation of a friend and found the staff couldnt do enough for you and the steak was delicious and perfectly cooked. The huge cheescake for desert was fantastic (one slice fed 5 people). Well worth the money.

Went to Michael Jordan's a couple nights ago with a large work group. everyone had raved about the food. The meat comes heavily seasoned with salt and pepper. At any good steakhouse the aging process should be more than enough to give it the perfect flavor and then leave seasoning, if needed, to the patron. Needless to say the steak was sub par and the sides were on an equally low quality level. Save yourself a buck and a dissapointment and go elsewhere.
