    Great Find!

I am thrilled we tried this restaurant. The food was very tasty and arrived at our tables hot ! The margaritas are the best around and our waitress was superb. I definitely will be back in the near future.

    Best margaritas around

I love it. Fresh ingredients, great food - especially the Almond Chicken. Best Margaritas anywhere. Lots of fun

Little ambiance and pretty lousy fare

I was encouraged by the reviews and decided to give it a try. A friends and I met up at Mi Nidito only to find that the place was loud, crowded and had zero atmosphere. Even that would have been tolerable if the food had been as good as advertised. The chicken was cubed, the spices weren't great and even the side of beans and rice were pre-prepared and lacked taste.

    Absolutely fantastic

I've ordered delivery from Mi Nidito twice this week. At first, I was skeptical that it would be worth it ($20 for a burrito?) but tried it on a flier. The first time was fantastic; the second time was the same. Everything about the food screams fresh: the chips, the salsa, the ingredients inside the burrito... all great. It's now on my short list of places to order from.

The best Mexican in Hell's Kitchen

I order food to go from here at least once a week. The portions are always more than enough for my manly appetite and delivery is fast and acurate. I Highly recommend this restaurant. The fried ice cream with raspberry sauce is a treat for my sweet tooth at the end of the meal. I've tried several restaurants in this neighborhood and the quality does not compare.

Great Lunch Specials and vegetarian menu

IWow, I'm surprised about the previous review because I too work nearby and have had great experiences here. I'm vegan and this place has a whole seperate vegetarian and health menu which I find has many options for me. This place makes practically everything from scratch and they have a great lunch special . M-F 12pm-3pm if you sit at the bar for $7.95 you get: your choice of burrito, taco, chimichanga, enchilada, etc. with a side of rice, beans, and salad, A cup of homemade black bean soup, chips and salsa, and a fountain drink. It's great. Smaller luncheon portions make it totally filling but not too much. I love the spinach enchilada (I get it w/out the cheese) but it's so flavorful you don't need it. They also have happy hour specials, $3.00 mexican and domestic beers.

    Not recommended

After having been recommended to me by a friend, I decided to give Mi Nidito a try. I actually work right around the corner, and am a Mexican food connoisseur, so I really wanted this place to be good. I was disappointed. Not only did it take 20 minutes for the waitress to take our order, apparently she was busy, but would an "I'll be right with you" have been to much to ask? My friends and I figured out that what they say is a 16 oz Margarita ($10) is actually more like an 8 oz, so don't be lured by the sign out front that states "home of the original 60 oz margarita ($45). My nachos, which claimed to be covered in beans, guacamole, shredded chicken, sour cream, etc. came as a plate of melted cheese with a few chips thrown in and a couple cubes of chicken. What happened to "New York's freshest Mexican fare", It says that on the sign too.
