Attitude not justified by quality
New York attitude in a restaurant is no surprise, but you have to earn it. This place has pretty bland food, so so service, and rather limited options. The manager is also a bit odd, doesn't understand the dictum "the customer comes first".

very nice place
Ate there last night with a party of five. Food was very good. Especially liked the con Quezon and the seafood enchilada. They even took photos of our group for us. The restaurant was clean and the personnel were accommodating.

Disappointing food, poor service
The food is rather generic. It seems like they just douse the meet or veggies in pre-packaged sauce from a supermarket. The service is also very poor. They need to be more welcoming, and receptive to customer concerns rather than dismissing them with a patronizing attitude.

Delicious real Mexican food
I was just there today I ordered a med Guacamole to my surprise it was so good as fresh as it can be I have not had any guacamole better than this. We were four for dinner. We ordered fajitas, another entree was tacos, I ordered Vegetarian california spinach burrito, and my other friend ordered Almond chicken. OMG this is the best Meal I have had in a long time because I love Mexican & I have eaten in other Mexican restaurants. You should definetly try their Mole on Almond chicken it was out of the world. Their Margaritas with a strawberry Pinacolada combo flavor was excellent The decor was medicore. Service 10/10 value for the meal 10/10 bcaz they have huge portions we had to take doggy bags home for our lunch for tomorrow. their homemade flan was excellent even cuban restaurants can't make the flan so good. I wish u guys good luck if u have read my review then u have to go to this place for heaven sake u will be in heaven

Not recommended
I was a faithful customer to this place when I worked in the area. I sent loads of friends and co-workers there raving about the food - even when they often sent my order sloggy because they lump in the tacos with the rice and beans. I recently ordered today, and gave the lady specific direction not to place my tacos in the plate with the rice, and beans. Of course my order comes this way with the tacos on the same plate as rice and beans. I called the owner and he was absolutely rude, talked over me the entire call. I can't believe I was so faithful to the place. Have to admit I felt sorry for them - an authentic Mexican restaurant who competes with powerhouse Mexican chain right next door. Going forward, I'll be going to any other Mexican spot, but them.

Delicious!
I don't know how some experiences were poor in other reviews. The staff were friendly, made great recommendations and had a really great vegetarian variety. Plus there is a lot of food with your entree and really don't need the appetizers. If you found the meat dishes unsatisfactory try the veg menu! Really delicious! Plus, the owner came around and had a conversation with every table. I'd recommend to friends.

Exasperating experience
The food was ok once they got the order right eventually (took 3 attempts). The frustrating thing was the arrogant tone and refusal to accept they had made a mistake. They market themselves as some kind of unique culinary experinece, which is a huge claim in New York; it's pretty generic stuff to be honest. Nothing wrong with the food but nothing outstanding. They need to work on customer service.
