    Never disappointing!

By far one of my favorite places in the city. The penne with tomato, basil, and mozzarella is their best dish. The iced tea is to die for and their pizza is out of this world. The wait staff is experienced and quite friendly/entertaining. The only negative is the lack of space between tables.

    Will definitely go back

We stopped there after a Guggenheim visit. We loved the food. The staff was very attentive. Great pizza enjoyed the pepperoni. The pistachios ice cream is a must. One draw back they only take American Empress. Overall this restaurant was a great find and we recommend it highly.

    Amazing restaurant..

My family and I practically live there.. it has amazing food.. service. The food is too die for.. amazing taste, amazing atmosphere. I recommend this reataurant for people who love Italian food.. and even people who don't.. this restaurant is that best.

    Excellent

I hadn't been to Mezzaluna in a while but decided to go last night and I must say- I'm going to start going back again. The atmosphere is really great- you feel like your in someones large kitchen, the staff is so friendly and the food is really incredible. I had my old-time favorite which is still on the menu- the penne with fresh tomatoes, mozzarella and basil and it was great- my favorite in the city. My brother had a pizza with artichokes that was wonderful and my friend had a special eggplant pasta- they were all great...if you've never been, it's a must!

    Consistently Good

My wife and I eat here regularly. The food is consistently excellent, the service is consistently attentive. Tight quarters can be distressing at times, but worth putting up with for a good value and really good food.

    Neighborhood Treasure

I've been eating there for years. The food is amazing, the staff is extremely friendly, service is quick and they give a lot of freebies :). The only downside is the place is tight and the tables are too close to each other.

    I love this place

OK other person who reviewed u obviously haven't eaten here b/c there aren't any candles on the table and they don't use any salt in their food unless you request. The food is amazing and this is really a family restaurant. GO! You won't regret it. The pizzas are oven-baked, and the pastas are fresh. The dessert specials are never disappointing.
