first the driver brings the wrong order, than I had to wait 40 minutes for my order which i am sure was on his bike all that time. Food was cold. and than they told us to take the chips out of the order they did give us (which belonged to someone else) because they forgot to put them in my bag.... ):

I recently ordered take out from here and found the food to be good. The guacamole is fresh and tasty, the "fajita burrito" was very good, mole poblano sauce was "eh" but didnt detract from the food. I do have to say I had to wait almost 2 hours for my dinner to arrive and was less than happy about that but I dont think it would be the norm, just a mix up. Anyway, I think this place is worth a try. The best I've found in Bay Ridge so far.

Rickety tables-impatient ordertaker-$10 chez & chip apptzr-unasked for refils quietly placed on table and added to bill-plates literally thrown in front of diner-saw your way through knife resistant tortilla-very expensive drink prices,especially pitchers--for the same amount you spend here you can get much better food & serv elsewhere in bay ridge.

I love mexican food. Burrito should be my middle name. I'm vegetarian and pretty easy to please. My girlfriend and I decided to try the place out and both ordered vegetarian burritos. I almost sent it back, but I hate to waste...it was comprised of nothing more that some sort of Chinese stir fry mix (no seriously, the "tiny corn" and everything!) and tortilla. No sauce. Nothing. Rice and beans on the side. This is not a good burrito. If you don't know what I mean, then Mezcals may be for you. If you're smellin' what I'm stepping in, then go somewhere else....anywhere else. Get a pizza. Jug of milk. Whatever you can find. It will probably be better than my dried up waste o money. My dead grandmother makes a better burrito.

Highly recommended; food is always fresh and well prepared and drinks are well made and strong. Order the extra side as portions can run a little small, but maybe its just because I'm fat. My only gripe is having to pay for addtional chips and salsa (especially if you order the guac, which comes sans chips), but like I said, I'm fat.

Excellent food and drinks

Always a good time at Mezcal's. I'm never dissatisified with their yummy fresh food or their impeccable Sangria. I recommend to anyone in the area.
