Still Good
Was there last night and again found the food and service very good. Get there once every few months and very rarely am disappointed. I know that I will be back.

still waiting
We order deliver and go often. I think the food is pretty good but have seen a decline in the last 6 or 7 months. Anyway, I ordered for deliver 1hr 20 mins ago. I asked how long the delivery would take and was told 20-25 minutes (which seemed unrealistic, but this is rediculous). I've called but really go no satisfaction. They have lost a weekly customer.

Amazing Mexican food!!
My boyfriend and I just went to this amazing 2nd avenue jem for the first time... and it was AMAZING! The fish tacos and guacamole (which was freshly prepared, no doubt) were a fantastic match for my perfectly cooked Mariscada (a seafood stew), overflowing with lobster tails, shrimp, clams and mussels (i chose the red sauce but the other choices are bound to be delicious as well). They topped it off with an amazingly comfortable atmosphere, SUPER friendly service, and a scoop of coconut fried ice cream... We will definitely be back!!

Another sub-par NYC mexican restaurant
Service was okay. Prices were okay. Food was not good. I don't know why NYC can't get mexican food right. The fajitas had no flavor whatsoever. The salsa was out of a Pace jar. Tortilla soup seemed like it was out of a can. Just not good.

pretty good
This place was pretty good. I was happy with the quality of the food, and thought the portions were a decent size. I was a bit put off however when I asked for salsa for my fajitas and they charged me $3! In my opinion, Mexican restaurants should not charge you for salsa.

Sadly, Lindo is no longer my local Mexican choice.
I have been a regular customer of Lindo and generally enjoy the food. I had not been there is some time and recently went for dinner. They are really cutting back. They have raised the prices by at least a few dollars. For what you get, it seems overpriced. The fajitas do not come with salsa / pico de gallo or sour cream, all you get is the standard bean, rise and guacamole. The enchiladas do not have a drizzle of sour cream. Now they only serve one complimentary basket of chips and salsa, even on that they skimp. We asked for add'l salsa for our fajitas and enchiladas and were told it would be extra. I realize that times are tough, but this is just downright cheap. Out of principle, I am no longer going to eat there. There are many other Mexican / Southwestern places in neighborhood that do not skimp like Lindo has begun doing.

Best Authentic Mexican food in NYC
Having grown up in San Antonio, TX, where the mexican food is so authentic you can see grandma in the kitchen making tortillas, I feel like I have a good idea and taste for this cuisine. Only living a block away, I had walked by Mexico Lindo numerous times with my nose up, feeling like there is no where in the city that does Mexican food right... but I was completely wrong about this place! This is the best authentic mexican food in NYC! The chicken mole enchiladas are to DIE for! Mole sauce in general is very hard to make and most places get it completely wrong, but Mexico Lindo knows what they are doing! I also applaud them on their chips and salsa, as well as their chili rellano. The atmosphere is charming and the staff is attentative!! I definitely think this place is a gem in NYC.
