Another sub-par NYC mexican restaurant
Service was okay. Prices were okay. Food was not good. I don't know why NYC can't get mexican food right. The fajitas had no flavor whatsoever. The salsa was out of a Pace jar. Tortilla soup seemed like it was out of a can. Just not good.

pretty good
This place was pretty good. I was happy with the quality of the food, and thought the portions were a decent size. I was a bit put off however when I asked for salsa for my fajitas and they charged me $3! In my opinion, Mexican restaurants should not charge you for salsa.

Sadly, Lindo is no longer my local Mexican choice.
I have been a regular customer of Lindo and generally enjoy the food. I had not been there is some time and recently went for dinner. They are really cutting back. They have raised the prices by at least a few dollars. For what you get, it seems overpriced. The fajitas do not come with salsa / pico de gallo or sour cream, all you get is the standard bean, rise and guacamole. The enchiladas do not have a drizzle of sour cream. Now they only serve one complimentary basket of chips and salsa, even on that they skimp. We asked for add'l salsa for our fajitas and enchiladas and were told it would be extra. I realize that times are tough, but this is just downright cheap. Out of principle, I am no longer going to eat there. There are many other Mexican / Southwestern places in neighborhood that do not skimp like Lindo has begun doing.

Best Authentic Mexican food in NYC
Having grown up in San Antonio, TX, where the mexican food is so authentic you can see grandma in the kitchen making tortillas, I feel like I have a good idea and taste for this cuisine. Only living a block away, I had walked by Mexico Lindo numerous times with my nose up, feeling like there is no where in the city that does Mexican food right... but I was completely wrong about this place! This is the best authentic mexican food in NYC! The chicken mole enchiladas are to DIE for! Mole sauce in general is very hard to make and most places get it completely wrong, but Mexico Lindo knows what they are doing! I also applaud them on their chips and salsa, as well as their chili rellano. The atmosphere is charming and the staff is attentative!! I definitely think this place is a gem in NYC.

Awesome Mexican
Hands down one of my favorite mexican restaurants in the city. I've been there at least 3 times and it's always such a wonderful meal.

Just had to express my love...
I've been taking out from Mexico Lindo for years. They are always fun and friendly when I call to place my order, and of course they remember me like always. The food is always delicious, fresh, and just what I want. I adore their salsa a must for cilantro lovers! The delivery is always faster then they prepare you for on the phone. On a busy Friday night they will prepare you for a 35- 45 minutes wait. Often in these situations I'll have my food in under a half an hour. I can't say enough about Mexico Lindo!

Fabulous! Fresh & Flavorful!
We took my mother here before seeing a show at the Blender Theatre, and right away I was impressed with how much the place stood out with it's red neon signs. We sat in a separate, cozy section by the wall to ceiling windows so we could soak up the city scenery. The atmosphere was great, my mom loved it. The Black Bean soup was brought out to us on accident, but I was glad because I got to try it, thinking it was what we ordered, and it was delicious! The tortilla soup was of a thinner consistency than I was used to, but when the guacomole melted and mixed in, it became thicker. The tortillas in the soup were those thin straw ones and got soggy in the soup, though they tasted good. The flautitas de pollo were OUTSTANDING. There was a certain type of cheese in there that tasted so delicious and the chicken was so soft, juicy and flavorful, I still keep thinking about it. They must have a secret to get it that way. I tried the rice and beans that came with the combos and at first they didn't seem like anything special, but upon second and third bite I learned that they were pretty good too. Unfortunately, I became full after the soup and Flautitas, but I definitely plan on going back!
