They get everyhting wrong that i have ever ordered, rude about it also. the food quality is terrible. the meat is often substandard (fatty, grizzle, bad parts ) and shakes are icey and watery and everything is way overpriced. this place is not good. go to broadway rest on b'way between 101 and 102. metro is a rip off and I wish a real owner would come along and make this place worth it. it looks great but don't be fooled !

everytime i have ever ordered fr.here delivery or pick up has been a bad experience. you order a vanilla shake, you get strawberry, ask for meat lasagna, you get veg and they are rude on the phone and rude in person. and i'm from NYC so rude can be part of the scene but hey i'm droppin some dough here and they are expensive also! way overpriced for the sucky food. chicken is often fatty or tough, shakes are watery or icey and just overall very poor quality for the price, any price its just subpar food.

I ordered the "Field of Dreams Salad" and it was served with dark chocolate chips, canned salmon with a clear jelly and mushy blueberries. It tasted and smelled like a "field of nightmares". My milkshake tasted and smelled like refrigerator water complete with white, translucent refrigerator icicles.

Ordered a grilled chicken salad from this restaurant tonight and the chicken was inedible! the food quality has gone right downhill. Who can ruin grilled chicken?

Went in just to grab a piece of carrot cake to go. Upon entering, the host rudely directed me to the counter. Then upon paying, the girl didn't even tell me my total. She just entered the price then stared at me. So I looked at the register to see how much it was. I paid, said thank you, and she just stared blankly at me. Even worse, the carrot cake was 90% icing, and whatever crumbs they call carrot cake were stale and dry.

As a native NYer, I've been to many a diner in my day! I'm currently a resident of the Upper West Side of Manhattan & I have to say that The Metro Diner is by far the best diner in New York City, hands-down! Sure, it's a little more $ for the same things you'd get in other places, however, the food quality here is superior. Combine the good food with the quick, efficient & friendly "neighborhoody" service...and you've got a winner! Two thumbs up for The Metro Diner!!!
