This is one of my family's favorite NYC restaurants. We have not been there in awhile (we live in New Jersey), but we have friends visiting from London, and we are going there with them. They wanted to eat in the West 40s, and, of all the restaurants we could choose, this is the one we thought they would like the best -- great food, great NYC atmosphere, very reasonable prices. Only negative is that they don't take reservations between 6:30 and 8 p.m. on theatre nights.

My husband and I were looking for something different , so decided to try a Spanish restaurant for lunch. We were also drawn to the sign advertising the lunch special for under $15 each. We stuck with all Spanish choices- Sangria, salad, grilled shrimp, and Paella, and for dessert had flan. The shrimp and Paella were very good. The food was very good, although the complimentary bread was not fresh. We especially enjoyed the refreshing Sangria after walking around the city on a hot summer day.

We arrived at 7:30 on a Wednesday and the place was lively (and a little noisy). By 8:00 it was serene. We asked the server which tapas were spiciest and he told us they could make any of them spicy. Two of us shared the chorizo in red wine (perfect), marinated pork cubes (nicely spicy), grilled calamari, artichokes with serrano ham (slightly salty) and a tri-color salad. All were very tasty. The wine list by the glass is limited, but the rioja was decent. The bread was nothing wonderful, but there was lots of it. Service was friendly. If possible, only order 2 tapa dishes at a time as they are best warm and fresh (we just couldn't eat ours fast enough). Overall, a very pleasant dining experience at a reasonable price.

I didn't like this restaurant. We had tapas and they were all greasy with too much garlic. The bread was stale. Disappointing aka what you should expect from Restaurant Row.

My mother and I had dinner at Meson Sevilla prior to taking in a Broadway... The waiters were very attentive without being overbearing... The food was spectacular & the vegetables were fresh - try the Shrimp Scampi... The aromas alone will get your mother watering... I will definitely go back for more!

The best tapas & sangrias in New York. I am from Spain and I had my 28th birthday there and we all had a great time. Salud!
