Authentic and delicious tapas
I went to Meson Sevilla with a friend and we both really enjoyed it! I've been to Spain to stay with friends who live there a few times and feel that the food here reminds me of my experiences in Madrid. We tried several tapas and they were all delicious and the staff were helpful and friendly and provided wonderful service. I look forward to returning soon.

Biggest Tapas potions in NYC
This has got to be my favorite Tapas/ Spanish restaurants in NYC. No one in New York has Tapas as big as they do and the prices are fantastic. Most tapas restaurants make you leave hungry, but not Meson Sevilla. I also love the old world charm of the place rustic, old, cozy and warm, some thing you do not see in todays modern restaurants. Try this place order 2-3 tapas you will leave full and not break the bank.

Love the Tapas
Patatas Bravas to die for. Delicious serrano ham. Their tapas list is long and delectable. A little pricy for Entrees, but I'm sold on the tapas. Love it.

rather disappointing
Frankly, the food was unimpressive, given the prices and small portions. The artichokes were tasty but too fatty, the cheese and ham platter tasted like supermarket food, the tuna tapas were filled with fish paste and had more fried dough than fish. I found the service to be quite lacking. The waiters were very pushy in selling drinks (refusing to accept orders until they took drink orders) and not bring water until we asked for it twice. I was surprised that they added a gratuity for a party of 6 as well. There are so many good restaurants in the area, and you could do better.

Average
I came here before going to the theater on a Friday night. The service was very good - the waiters were attentive and even sang 'happy birthday' to me. The food, however, was average. In our opinion, the chef seemed to be better at cooking the Italian dishes than Spanish, as the paella was definitely NOT true paella (and it is possible to cook a good, quick paella), however most of the pastas ordered were tasty. The appetizers were ok. The best thing was the bruschetta. And the flan wasn't good. Overall I'd say this place is only average in terms of food.

4 a Fabulous Flight of Fancy, Dine Here!
By mere chance we capped off our "30th anniversary/last night in the city" at this little gem and it quickly became one of the highlights of our stay. Upon entering, the ambience was cozy yet electric with a roomful of diners clearly enjoying themselves. The waitstaff were welcoming and the signature complimentary bruschetta some of the most flavorful we have ever tasted! We followed with apps/tapas, while the yummy orange slice-filled sangria (by the pitchersful, mind :O) complimented each morsel and every moment of our celebration. Fast forward paella(s) and a full lobster EACH later, plus flan and creme brulee to finish, and you, my friends, have just journeyed with us on one perfectly-paced flight to heaven and beyond 5 stars! 10/01/2008
