Went to dinner with a party of 6. Had 3 appys, 4 different main courses, 3 desserts. Everything was excellent. Great food with complex layered flavors. Had a good cross scetion of the menu (lamb, pork, steak and fish) and all were very good. On the desserts, Churros were so, so. The others were great. Service - mediocre at best. Need to do much better, especially at these prices. Overall great place, definitely recommend trying it.

Went for Restaurant week with 2 coworkers. we first had a drink at the bar which was delicious, margarita....bartender there for 20 years...we all ordered different and everyone was pleased. We were seated in no time!! the breads were out of this world, had seconds, grouper and salad also delicious, and i am not even a dessert person, but they outdid themselves. definitely recommend this restaurant...we were treated very nicely......dont know why all the complaints....

the place is DIRTY (dust balls in the rafters!?), the food is MEDIOCRE at best and the decor is in a word DATED. the staff changes monthly, and Christopher "I'm the general manager of the property", too inexperienced to even run a McDonalds much less a fine dining eatery could care less. you know the type, more concerned about their own appearance than what's being served to customers. this place now feels like a step-child restaurant trying to find its way within a huge corporation. gone are the days when the original owners (Kretschmers) would come for dinner and Bobby Flay actually came in periodically to inspect the kitchen. please bring back managers and staff who care or close it down because it is just so wrong to let it flounder the way it is now...

Chef Flay needs to have a "Come to Jesus" Meeting with the people that are representing his name. Went there on 05-07-11 and left disappointed. Our server was disorganized, overwhelmed and rushed. Were there to celebrate our wedding anniversary, had told everyone we were going. I'm sad to tell them what a terrible time we had. I've followed Chef Flay since his early days on TV. It's upsetting to get that service when you hear him preach about service, food quality on all the shows. To not see it in person.....it's not good. Will not be recommending this place to anyone.

I've been wanting to eat here for years and finally had the unfortunate experience of dining this evening. It's not that the food is bad its that it isn't really good and extremely expensive. Save your money and go to Les Halles or somewhere similar which will end up being a little more than half the price and a much better meal.

This place has fallen on hard times, wouldn't be surpirsed if its days are numbered. Seems like the theme has run its course and is now a bit dated. Shrimp Tacos were bland, nothing spicy was actually hot, the chipotle sauce was clearly bottled. The prices are still high end but the food isn't. Also same tired space - how about a little renovation?

Went to Mesa Grill last night - not having been there for four years. Glad that I hadn't read the reviews on the first page of the site, before I went. Food was good -especially the Pancake Appetizer and the Pork Tenderloin. We also had the lamb shank which was great and real easy to eat as it was off the bone. Service was attentive and unlike some other reviewers I didn't sense overselling - the two hostesses were friendly and seated us where we had asked. After paying the check, our server came back and thanked us for our tip - I wish more waiters/waitresses would do that. Bobby Flay showed up, but I expect my experience would have been the same regardless. Don't know about some of the reviewers here, but as a NYC resident I'm going back to Mesa Grill soon.
