Went for restaurant week and must say that a personal pet peeve is when they give you a bad restaurant week menu in comparison to their regular menu.  I'd been looking forward to eating at Mesa for months.  We wound up ordering off the RW menu and thought our entrees were adequate (snapper & steak.)  However, despite sub-par service and a tight table the goat cheese & asparagus quesadillas were great.

    Great Service

I recommend sitting at the bar. The barkeep is phenomenal. Everything was delicious--We had the burger and a shrimp salad. The desserts were excellent. Thanks to the barkeep, our experience was memorable.

Great food, presentation, service & ambience and awesome decor in the restrooms. My compliments and thanks to all for a memorable meal again. The Dolce de Leche cake with the caramel was an interesting touch, but my theory is if it's not broke why fix it. I'll take the pure chocolate decadence perfeclty done as it was the first time I had it.

    Artisinal Cooking at Its Finest!

Unlike Mexican food as you and I would know to be the norm. I thought Bobby Flay was a genius to gourmet up artistically this style of cooking. The blue corn, corn muffins were unusual & I knew we were in for a special experience. The chicken appetizers of mini type tacos with sauces were spectacular and the pomegranates popped the right amount of juice on your tongue in the pumpkin based soup. I ate every last bite of my chili relenno yummy. The whole meal was fabulous including the most decadent chocolate cake I ever had. It was foodgasmic! The cake was like cake tecture in the center but when you ate it, it melted in your mouth like a truffle. Go back again? OH YEAH! If I can get a reservation now that I've let everyone know how good it was. I'm hoping someday Bobby adds to his menu some kind of lobster quesadilla (spelling?) or something of that nature I know it would WOW me.

    A great ovarall experience!

I had a lunch at Mesa today and the food was exceptional, from flavor to the presentation. I had the restaurant week cauliflower soup, the chile relleno and the bread pudding with a glass of wine. My lunch companion had the sophie's salad, the 16 spice chicken and the bread pudding. The chicken was moist, tender and flavorful, the chile's surprising flavor and textures were a great treat for the palate. The wait staff were pleasant. Overall, we had a great experience. I would highly recommend it.

    Above Average

Went for restaraunt week and besides a short wait, the service, food and atmosphere were all at expectations. The roasted cauliflower and chile soup was fabulous as well as the chile rellinio. Other than being a little noisy on the ground level, I would definitely go back for non rest. week visit.

    Thank God for Good Company!

Went to Mesa Grill last night for dinner with 3 friends. We all decided to order off of the restaurant week menu. For starters, we had the chopped salad, which was at best average (nothing you couldn?t make yourself) and the black bean risotto cake which was tasty but soo small that you could honestly eat it in one bite! For entr?e I ordered the salmon.. (warning: if you do not like your salmon undercooked, I?d advise you to order something else!). my friend had the sixteen spice chicken which unbeknownst to her was on the bone! I had read in some of the reviews that the Chile Relleno was good. I probably should have gotten that! Now on to dessert ... we tried both of the options. The Chocolate Bread Pudding was flavorsome but lacked the advertised chocolate and the Gingerbeer Cake was in one word: dry. The best part of the meal was the side of Brussel Sprouts that we ordered extra. They were delicious. I highly recommend getting them! Overall our experience at Mesa Grill was average with the actual D?cor needing a face lift and the service being a little rushed.. Since I have never been there before and I have no basis to compare.. all I can say is that I certainly wouldn?t recommend going during Restaurant Week!
