    First Time Visit

Spices in food very nice, not over powering. Tuna excellent. Steak excellent but very disappointed in steak sauce. If you don't mind it is very loud and crowded.

    Not recommended

We have been 2x before. We had 8:30 reservations and our food didn't come for 2 hours. The food was outstanding. Management came over 2x and bought rounds of drinks to apologize. I didn't want to drink, I needed to eat. The air conditioner was not working in the restaurant and the service was poor. Maybe Bobby needs to spend a little more time in his restaurant and a little less time doing tv shows. It might help improve the brand.

    Better than I expected

Had the opportunity to eat here with some people last night for the first time. Being from out of town I read some reviews and had rather low expectations from what I had read. I was very pleasantly surprised. Our waitress was awesome and the food was very good as well. I appreciate a waitress that is honest about the menu. We had 4-5 appetizers. I would highly recommend the tuna tartar. The chipoltle ribeye was excellent. This was a very pleasant experience. You should go.

    Rotten Radicchio

I ordered a salad which was served with rotting Radicchio. Needless to say, I did not eat the Radicchio. The rest of the salad was flavorful, but when I pointed out to the server the Radicchio, he informed me that it was grilled...REALLY? It WAS NOT grilled. I also ordered the Cornmeal Crusted Chili Relleno. It was stuffed with eggplant and manchego cheese. It was quite good, but had absolutely no heat whatsoever. There are TOO many great restaurants in NYC to be bothered with this one.

    30th Done Right

Totally lived up to the hype - and I am a picky vegetarian. Rock on Bobby F!

    Cold pork tenderloin

I have eaten at Mesa Grill in the Bahamas And in Las Vegas. Both were outstanding! I thought I was going to get that same standard and quality here in NY. I was wrong. My pork tenderloin was ice cold when it arrived at my table, with a half teaspoon of the burbon sauce. No big deal, things happen, so I asked the waitress to take it back to heat it up. When it came back it was colder than the first time! My waitress was so embarrassed and I was embarrassed for her. I asked for some more burbon sauce. The third time it was at least Luke warm with apparently watered down bourbon sauce. By that time I just paid my bill and left. I'll never go back. Everybody has a bad day, but to purposely resend cold food that was sent back for the same reason is inexcusable.

Should've been better for the price

Huge Bobby Flay fan so was disappointed that the meal was just OK. And for the price you pay it ought to be better than that. Service was OK, but we ate early on a Fri night so it wasn't crowded; only had to flag down the server once to order dessert. He had the duck quesadilla (liked it) and I had the Caesar salad (liked it). He had the salmon (good) and greens (blah). I had the chicken (very tender and well seasoned) and blue corn tamale (dry). The pudding for dessert was just blah. Probably the best part of the meal was the cornbread muffin in the bread basket and we only got one so had to share it. The margaritas (both the cactus pear and the house) were just OK; we had much better ones the next day at Dos Caminos. Overall the meal was OK, but at that price it ought to be better than just OK. It had been several years since we ate there and it'll be several before we go back. Bar Americain was a much better dining experience - the food was much better and so was the service.
