Alright, so we arrive and order drinks, everything's great. Got the mushroom quesadillas, again, great. My wife orders fish tacos, I order the carne asada. Food comes out promptly, but whoops, they made mine carne asada tacos instead of the entree. As far as I'm concerned at that point, if the steak comes out pretty soon: no harm, no foul. Here's where it gets nice: homeboy offers me a free beer when my current beer is finished. I thank him, but then the steak comes out in like three minutes. As far as I see it, that's no time: Mesa doesn't owe me a thing. However, when he reminds me about the beer, and I turn it down and ask for the check, he instead swings us a free flan for dessert. A delicious, creamy flan, for free, and for what - to me - was hardly even an inconvenience. So thanks, Mesa Coyoacan. Your food was great, and that sort of service is what will keep people in your pocket.

Have been 3 times for brunch now. The Chilaquiles are a solid choice and the margaritas are very good, though small and on the weak side for the price. Our waitress yesterday was great, knowledgeable about the menu and attentive. I have had poor service in the past. Once the manager got into a screaming fight with a waiter. It was very uncomfortable for us, and they never apologized for the scene. We'd booked a table for 8 a few days in advance, and they sat us at table with other people. We didn't appreciate it. The decor is nice, but it's dimly lit. The food on each occasion has been to par, but the portions are quite small. Our party of 8 paid $46 a head for our food + two drinks each - a little too steep for brunch on Graham Ave. I won't likely return unless someone else is paying.

The food is absolutely amazing. And as far as I know, they are the only restaurant that uses grass-fed beef and chicken...lots of organic ingredients too. I got the carne asada once and the chicken mole the second time and it was AMAZING. I dont think I'll go out for mexican food in NYC anywhere else. Its about 30 seconds away from the subway - super easy to reach and I am so beyond sold on this place.

I was pretty skeptical of this place when it first went into the neighborhood, but I've grown to love it. The margaritas are amazing, and the food is truly, so so good. Naysayers will cite the price, and it should definitely be noted that this is an "upscale" restaurant, but I think the value is good. The ingredients taste very fresh, the meat is never too greasy, and I've always experienced really good service. If you can make it for brunch, their tortas and huevos rancheros are not to be missed, but you should definitely ordered chips and guac at any time of day. The chips come with a small bowl of salsa borracha, which seems like bit of a throwaway offering, but is absolutely tasty and shouldn't be disregarded. If you're wedded to huge portions and everything served with rice and beans, this is not the place for you. But if you can do for a reasonable portion and lots of quality, you'll love Mesa.

I had walked past this place several times before actually trying it and it was lovely! I had a quick meal, so not so sure if the wait staff was just being helpful with my own quickness or rude, but everything was great. Amazing guacamole for an appetizer (and I'm from Texas!), and lovely tilapia tacos. Also, they have jalapeno infused tequila margaritas which I adore. Recommended!

Good food but the staff is rude. 3rd time is not a charm. Wish the staff was better I would visit more frequently.
