    Weak Margaritas

Okay, the food was good and the atmosphere was really nice as well. BUT I have a few complaints: 1) Drinks were ridiculously weak. 2) The tacos are appetizer portions (very small!) 3) The mole sauce was way too thick and sweet 4) Chips and salsa for $4.00. That's $4.00 more than ANY mexican joint should charge. But again the food was good over all. I'll go back but just maybe avoid the $9.00 virgin margaritas.

    Claro que si!

Best thing to hit Williamsburg in quite a while! Excellent food and atmosphere. Great pricing to match. Now that the Margaritas are flowing, be sure to get in there for a taste of Authentic Mexico!!

    manhatten is jealous...

... that the best place to go for Mexican food is in Williamsburg. I have never had guacamole that tasted so good and chunky and our dinner was fantastic. Our group shared all the tacos and then we tried the enchiladas, chile nogado and fish. All well prepared and beautifully presented. The Pacifico's are great, but I can't wait for the margarita's in the fall.

I have been to so many mexican restaurants ...my friend told me about this place let me tell you I was very disappointed, is just another cantina .... so please wake up!

    Bien.

Being from Mexico City I have to say I am really impressed with the food at this restaurant. It tastes exactly like the food that you can get at any "Fonda" in D.F.

    just okay

We came here the first week that the restaurant opened. While the server was super friendly and the decor was nice, the food was only so-so. The ceviche and cactus salad were bland; the tacos were better, but overpriced. Plus the portions were a little on the skimpy side; my boyfriend and I left still hungry. (We wished that we had walked an extra 10 minutes to go to La Superior.) That all said, maybe the restaurant was just having an off night and has worked out its kinks.

great brunch, but needs to start earlier

Yesterday I tried the brunch at Mesa Coyoacan. It was great food ; had the chilaquiles con huevo which comes with black beans and gaucamole. Presentation of the food was lovely and the meal came with fresh oj and coffee - all for $12. My only complaint about the place is that brunch does not start until noon. I think this is a big miss on their part as the graham area is picking up now and there are many brunch spots offering brunch that start by 10 or 11am. Some people would like to be able to eat good food before noon, and i'm not going to wait until noon on a regular basis for this place. Also the waitress/host would not even take our order at 11:50, she made us wait until noon. really?! she could of at least humored us, and because of that i saw another group of people leave to eat somewhere else.
