Waitresses don't know their stuff
I asked if the veggie wrap had cheese. She assured me it was hummus and vegetables; of course the wrap came with goat cheese, not hummus. This was not entirely her fault as the menu listed hummus but she should have checked!

Poor service and subpar food
The food is subpar and the waitstaff is completely incompetent. My 4 friends and I each ordered a pizza and the waitress never mentioned that they were actually full sized pizzas, not small personal pizzas. When we asked she said they were a fine size for one person. Wouldn't any intelligent person mention that they were not actually personal pizzas and realize that 5 women ordering 5 full sized pies was unusual. The bar features typical over priced mid-town drinks and after a certain time people start hovering and putting their empty drink glasses on your table.

Decent bar food
My group sticks to the appetizer list when we watch games at Mercury Bar. Mozzarella sticks are extremely tasty, but the mini-burgers are kind of bland. Chicken fingers are NOT the good kind - aka they are missing the crunchy breaded outside. But with a dip of barbecue sauce, they're still passable. The nachos are everything you'd want after several beers.

Awesome lunch
Their lunch menu is totally worth it. The food is great. Try their vegetable lasagna. You'll love it. They even give you a meal card and for every 10 lunches you get 1 free. What a steal in NYC!

2 for 1 cosmos!!
The waitresses were a little slow but the owner came over to talk and bought us a round of shots. He was a lot of fun and had an awesome Irish accent. The food was delicious and came out very quickly. Also the portion sizes were much bigger than I anticipated. But the ambiance is what makes this place...that and the 2 for 1 cosmos!
