Was visiting NYC and a friend suggested we go there, the food was ok, a little over priced but the service made up for it , we had the blonde Irish girl Serve us she was so funny , loved her!! Will come back next time I'm in town : )

I've only been here once with a friend because we were walking by on a random summer afternoon and the place was mostly empty. We sat outside, had a nice meal (though it wasn't memorable enough for me to recall what I had a year later), really nice drinks (we stuck to the specialty cocktail list and were lovin' the buzz we quickly had!), and were blessed with a really awesome and attentive server who was very accommodating to our special requests. Overall, Mercury Bar is a place I'll go to if I walk by it when I'm hungry or thirsty and they're not crowded. I never remember the place is there until I actually see it and I wouldn't deal with crowds for anything they offer. But it's a solid 3-star experience that I'd recommend giving a whirl.

This place seems to have lost the great bartenders that made it an acceptable alternative in HK. It has a frat vibe and no real drink specials (compare to other local places with legit happy hours) so it needs the staff to make the difference for the better. Bartenders now wander aimlessly back there, don't know how to work the computer, have zero anticipation, get easily distracted and cannot remember a sole or what they drink. Those are all signs of a lousy bartender. The Burger here is pretty good (it should be for $12), but avoid almost everything else to eat. In fact, unless they get a real bartender and some real waitresses I would say avoid altogether.

Food is okay but over priced and drink specials are pretty weak. Atmosphere is good but service sucks. I shouldn't have to wait for a beer. Unless you are sitting at the bar prepare to be ignored.

I like to stop for a drink after work. No matter how good M Bar may be during the evenings, it is the not recommended for happy hour on ninth avenue. They have someone giving out cards on the street offering 2 for 1. When you get inside the bar, the happy hour is only for some poor wine or slow moving beer. The bartender pretended not to know about the 2 fer offer and then insisted I dig out the card as proof.

Delicious place to go for lunch or a quick snack and drink!
