Great, hip place with excellent food. You can't go wrong with getting the roasted chicken.. it's excellent. I always get the chicken whether it's for dinner or the chicken sandwich for lunch... So tasty. Saw George Lucas eating the sandwich for lunch!

Food was a bit synthetic and service was poor. Walked away from the place feeling it was somehow blandly innovative or generically stylish.

    Bloody Mary

I am a bloody mary lover, and they know how to make 'em at MK. The space is incredible and the tuna wasabi pizza was love at first bite.

    Cool atmosphere

The decor was really nice. They spent some money putting that place together. Our server was great too. The food was ok. I had a tuna app that was really good and a main entree lamb loin. The lamb was great, I just wish there was more of it. I had to get a slice a few hours after dinner. My wife had steamed skate which was tasteless. I would go for drinks to check the place out, but there is better food for the same price elsewhere. Try Public near by.

I stopped in for lunch while on a shopping spree in SoHo. I was delighted with the food, service and atmosphere. Would go back again.

    Downtown Chic

The atmosphere here is a fabulous combination of warm and cozy yet contemporary chic. Our waiter was very prompt and courteous. The food is pricey but the salads and main dishes are all delicious, beautifully arranged, and well proportioned. The only let-down was a mediocre apple dessert.

    More than the name implies

To me, Mercer Kitchen sounds like a restaurant that serves Mom's homecooking in a place with country decor. To my pleasant surprise, the cuisine and interior are far from that. The furnishings are totally contemporary and the food is "new." It's interesting that different patrons have radically different dining experiences. I loved my asparagus with raspberry vinaigrette, the roasted lobster on artichokes and the sorbet trio for dessert. The atmosphere became really lively when the diningroom started filling up. Our server was the most courteous and helpful young lady--always available when we needed her. My food was elegantly presented, tasty, and well worth the prices. I can definitely speak for my friend when I say that we had a great time.
