    The swordfish is the best.

If you go here you need to try the swordfish. It's the best, jerry, the best. But I usually just have the soup.

    Passover & Other Dinners

I was surprised to see a bad Passover review. We ate there with our grandchildren one Passover. The meals were delicious & the service was extraordinarily good. I am very fussy about the grilled chicken I usually order. I specify not well done & keep it soft. I have eaten at Mendy's for many years and I have never had a bad piece of grilled chicken. The only thing I would urge Mendy's to change is not to call turkey roll turkey on the menu. This is very misleading. I ate there with a friend, she ordered turkey & was served turkey roll. She returned it & we were told that fresh turkey was served only on 2 days. Mendy's should change the menu to reflect this. It is the honest thing to do.

    Just not worth it

Went for passover and ended up paying FIFTY DOLLARS for a soup, salad and a veggie cutlet. FIFTY DOLLARS. The service was horrible and the cashier could not understand that I had a veggie cutlet and kept asking me if it was Kasha (it is passover so no). Then she went to get help, grabbed a peice of matza and ate it while ringing me up making crumbs all over herself. GROSS. They are dripping dishes into other dishes and it is a mess. I called the manager after and he was nice about it but they need to get it together.

    Puney sandwiches

Ordered corned beef on club roll to go. Very small size roll and not alot between the bread and a little dry. Not worth the $10.95 price.

    won't recommend it and

The sandwiches are small for the price. the Rye bread was cold and hard. They advertised 4 soups but only had two available. I went to the Grand Central Location. Definately not worth 10.95 or 4 dollars for that matter

    Not worth it

I've gone to a few locations and they all serve mediocre (at best) kosher deli food for outrageous prices. Example: a luncheon special of half corn beef sandwich (quite small) and chicken soup cost $13 (without a drink) . People behind the counter and cashier were surly. Have tried to give them a chance but don't plan on returning at this point

    Everything wonderful

All the food was delicious -- we had the soups and sandwiches. The staff was very nice and accommodating and the owner/manager was exceedingly nice. I found this to be an unusual combination! Also, someone wrote something about a Groupon issue -- but I don't know why this was an issue because it very clearly stated on the Groupon up to what amount one could order for a sandwich. This was our first time trying Mendy's (this was the 34th street one), and everything was great, and we give it the highest review!
