Poorest moroccan coucous I ever had
Previous praise should be tempered: the place is crowded, servers are stingy on bread, wines are expensive (i.e. no house wine). The coucous was subpar with an overcooked chicken leg that shewed like mashed paper, a tasteless broth, and one dried up merguez with no savor but covered up by spices and pepper. There may be better dishes in the menu but stay away from the moroccan coucous.

Must Go!
If you like miditerranean food like i do this place is fantastic. The service was nice and personable, the atompshere is great, i love their decorations and the high ceilings. All of this was good but the main part is the food! eek! so GOOD! the chicken tagine is. to. die. for. My husband got it and i was practically licking his plate, not to say my lamb kabob wasnt freaking awesome too. The prices are just right, i just wish they had turkish coffee. oh well you cant win them all. but I look forward to coming here on the regular!

Highly recommended
Ricotta gnocchi with cream truffle sauce was soooooo amazing, I requested extra bread to soak up the remainder of the sauce after I was done eating the gnocchi. Chic yet rustic mediterranean decor. Staff was warm and friendly. Highly recommend but come after peak dining time as this place was extremely popular on a Friday night

wonderful
This is such a terrific addition to the neighborhood. I went there with a few friends and had a dinner of a bunch of tapas plates, all of which were delicious, one better than the next. I went back two more times in the next 10 days and selected main courses and my love of their food and the ambiance was reinforced. Go - you won't be sorry.

great food at great prices
Restaurants as good as this are hard to find these days. I have been back a few times with different people and great satisfaction was had by all. From the friend artichokes appetizer, to the chicken tagine, to the short ribs, everything is freshly prepared, cleverly cooked and lovingly presented.

Excellent dinner - will be a regular place for us!
I have been a regular over the past five years at Virage in the East Village and when the owner told me he was opening up a restaurant with his brother in the West Village, I knew it would be good - and it definitely is! The three of us went Saturday night for dinner, and had a delicious meal. The restaurant is tiny, but comfortable and the food was fantastic. We started with appetizers: Crostini with house made mozzarella, mushrooms and truffle oil (amazing, and I don't usually like mushrooms); Moroccan spiced carrots (really good flavor!); mergueze sausage with chopped salad (this is the best mergueze I've found in town); fried artichokes with dipping sauces (yum!) and lamb meatballs in broth with melted halumi cheese. They were all delicious and could have served as a meal on their own. Dinner was perfect as well - we all enjoyed our entrees and did not wait for them to come. I had more of the chopped salad, my husband had the Lamb burger - which was seasoned just right and come with amazing fries, and my younger sister enjoyed the mushroom ravioli. I regret that we were too full for dessert, but next time...we'll save room. I'm also looking forward to trying the tagine...which looked super tasty as well. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes Mediterranean food with a Moroccan influence. And they have outdoor seating, which I cannot wait to use during the nicer weather.
