We had been coming to Melt for years, so when groupon offered 5 courses of wine with food pairings, I jumped at the opportunity. Bad idea. The food wasnt necessarily bad, but it was definatly mismatched with the wine. Wine portions were so tiny that all five courses would have easily fit in one glass. We decided to order a couple of sides after the completion of the tasting menu, so as to not return home hungry. I have fond memories of perfectly fried onion rings served with three sauces on the side. These onion rings were nothing but a sloppy and greasy mess of half assed cooking. This whole experience was a disapointment and we will look to our other Park Slope favourites on date night.

I finally convinced one of my Manhattanite friends to join me for dinner in Brooklyn and I was embarrassed that I picked Melt to try for the first time! We had the tasting menu and the courses were either bland or inedible (the beef stew was made with meat so tough we couldn't cut or chew it). They were accomodating to my friend who wanted to switch out two of the meal options, but for the most part the waitress was rude. The prices are affordable (5 course tasting for $50/person) but we will not be visiting Melt again.

After reading the reviews, decided to try the place out.....not the best. My boyfriend ordered the port - DELICIOUS! I had a the Melt Burger. I asked for it well done. Mistake. The burger was actually black on both sides. I ate half to be polite - should have returned it. The pork dish though was spectacular. I'm hoping it was just an off night, but don't think I'll be going here again. $15 for a bad burger is enough. Maybe it was just this time, but will probably never know.

Awesome burgers, sliders, short rib and other choices. Service is friendly and pleasant. Great happy hour drink specials. One of my favorites!

Great fried chicken, freshly made, with delicious kale. Yes, I never thought I would put delicious and kale in the same sentence, but the chef definitely knew what he was doing. Also had a non-alcoholic cocktail that was delightful. At less than $20 a head with decent service, it's definitely a place to put on my list for dinner.

The other night we dined at MELT and it was a wonderful experience. Amazing food for inexpensive prices. We highly recommend the Jumbo Prawns, BBQ Ribs, and the Mussels. These three dishes were absolutely delicious and very well prepared. Tumbs up to the Chef. Thanks again for a wonderful meal.

Working late and not in the mood to cook, I passed by Melt and saw Fried Chicken with potatoes was on the menu. The kernels were crispy, the chicken was tender and yum, yum, delicious. Dinner under $10.00, definitely a great value. I had money leftover to splurge on 2 beers. What a nice night. Then I found out-Melt delivers! I live a few blocks away. Next time I will order in so I will never need to cook again.
