Awesome but pricey.
The sandwiches are tasty--but, the portions aren't great and the prices are less spectacular.

Who knew grilled cheese could be so mmmmmm
Went to the Melt Shop yesterday. The 3 cheese melt was perfect for the new fall day, along with the tomato soup and shake and I was set. I can't wait to go back and take my boss - maybe for breakfast.

Lots to love
Went to Melt Shop thinking I would check out what the buzz was about and I loved it. Had the Buttermilk Fried Chicken, Tots, Coffee Shake and had a great and very "comfort food" meal. I thought it was well worth the price and loved sitting in the courtyard. Can't wait to go back and try the mushroom grilled cheese and other shakes.

Not worth the wait
I was so excited for this place to open up. Who doesn't love grilled cheese sandwiches? But the food was mediocre at best. The sandwich was tiny (for $8!) and unfilling, it was soaked to the bone in buttery grease, had a pittance of actual cheese on it, and to top it all off, I had to wait for 15 minutes--after waiting in line for ten--to get my order. There went that lunch hour. Not worth the wait. I won't be going back.

Where's the Cheese?
(Remember the "Where's the beef?" commercial from years ago?) Well, if I'm going to indulge in a grilled cheese sandwich, I expect more than an measly bit of cheese. I had the cheddar with bacon on sourdough. This should have been called a bacon sandwich with two of the skimpiest slices of cheese known to man. This is really too bad, as I wanted to love this place, but if I have to order extra cheese to simply get a proper grilled cheese sandwich, I'll just go to a nearby diner or any old sandwich shop, where cheese is the main focus on a grilled cheese sandwich. Although the quantity of cheese was a huge letdown, the sourdough was perfectly buttered and grilled, and the maple-glazed bacon added the most splendiferous flavor; sadly, that didn't make up for the lack of cheese on my grilled cheese sandwich! I have no issue with the price, but don't skimp on ingredients, especially not on the supposed star of the show . . . cheese. Unless they can get this right, I'll not be back.
