I don't know if we all are talking about the same place. If your idea of a "comfortable seating area" means three tables in a little whole in the wall place then I guess this is a comfortable seating area....on top of which the falafel was unappetizing.I took three bites and couldn't stand it anymore and then I proceeded to attempt to pick it apart and try to figure out whether it was the tabouleh, hummus, pita, or falafel itself that made it taste so bad. The falafel itself was alright but everything else was so disappointing, I haven't eaten another falafel since

Gourmet dining
Melange is a treasure in N.Y.C. Food and service are excellent. Middle Eastern desserts and foods are delicious.

Great Lunch Delivery!
Melange Food Fair is by far the best lunch option on the Upper East Side. Unlike most UES places, which serve mediocre food at ridiculous prices, Melange delivers fantastic food at affordable prices and always with impeccable service. Everything I've ordered has been fresh and delicious, they have tons of healthy options and always deliver promptly. I can't speak for the actual store since I've always had it delivered to my business, but I can say that my food arrives hot and in good shape, rain or shine. They have so much variety I can always find something to fit my mood. I hardly order from anywhere else anymore! One final tip; try the lunch box, it's a great deal. You get your choice of any sandwich, a piece of fruit, a brownie or cookie, and a soda all for $12 bucks, it's great! Five stars for Melange Food Fair, who finally put an end to my search for quality food on the Upper East Side.

Excellent food and friendly staff
Have eaten here probably 50 or more times and the food is always delicious, exactly as requested, and with friendly service. Lots of vegetarian options which is a plus for me! Highly recommended.

great food!
everything is great…turkey burgers, chicken pie, eggplant parm, great dips, sandwiches, great service, etc… you can’t make a bad choice at melange.

Exceptional FInd!!
The best candy, dried fruits, cheese, brownies, and salads. The nicest staff Prices are great!! A real find!

You have to try it!
Not only is the food excellent but the service is superb. I have never gone in there and not been greeted with a smile. Everything that I have eaten there has been exceptional and the prices are great as well. The crab cake sandwich in pita stuffed with salad and tahini sauce is to die for. They have a good selection of cheeses, dips, olives, dried fruits and nuts, along with their deli items. And they just added chocolates and have wonderful homemade cookies. If you haven’t gone there yet you should!
