Good food at reasonable prices, average service and pleasant atmosphere. I go about once a week for lunch and have never had a bad meal. OK to bring a client if you have known them for a while.

I went to Mekong for the 1st time since it moved with 2 friends. We were still deciding what to order for dinner when the waiter came by the first time, and my friend wanted to go ahead and order an appetizer and cocktail. The waiter told her "No, let's get it all done in one shot." and wouldn't take her order until we were all ready! After the bill came the waiter came by to pick it up before we'd even looked at it. When he came back, we were just counting money, and he said, "come on, I accommodated you guys and I am trying to turn tables over. You can't just sit here." We even had 2 half-full beer bottles on the table. Now we didn't dilly dally, and weren't nursing our drinks. We literally had just finished eating and he's saying he doesn't have time for us. And there was no one waiting for tables. By "accommodating" us, he apparently meant our request to sit outside at one of the empty tables. All 3 of us swore we'd never go back there. Imagine being "accommodated" by someone allowing you to pay them money for your food, and having the nerve to actually sit at the table, and drink, and talk to friends! Some might call that eating out.

great place to sit down, kick back and watch the world stroll by. good food and excellent service at a fairly reasonable price. the atmosphere is really the main reason to make this spot a regular stop. especially when the weather is nice and you can get an outdoor table. never feel like i'm being rushed, table hopping is common and pulling up an extra chair for a late friend is never a problem. didn't think they could improve on the original at prince & mulberry [brooklyn was second]. take a look around and you'll see a lot of regulars, not to mention some local celebs like famke. stop by and check it out

I have been before to MeKong and the food and atmosphere is really fun. Unfortunately translating this to a take away experience didnt work. For $38 we received two summer rolls, very average pad thai and cubed beef with a side of lettuce, shaved carrots and cucumber + rock hard rice crackers. I didnt know what to do with it all... microwave mini rolls? The place is great so I wouldnt hold this against it - delivery was a struggle though.

The original restaurant in brooklyn is great. I've only ordered from the new manhattan location but the quality was just as good. The menu is simple and the vegetables are fresh.
