    What service?

I had recommended my brother and his girlfriend from out of town to come here for dinner. They did and I felt awful because they told me that the owner of the restaurant gave them snooty and rude service even after they spent a ton of money on the food and drinks. Vietnamese food should not be this expensive by the way! I have noticed that there is preferential treatment. A good restaurant knows how to treat everyone well. I'd rather have mediocre food with great service then mediocre food with mediocre service. Mekong: Listen to your reviews and reflect on your ways. It's bad business.

    It's not all bad!!

This restaurant has taken a hammering so I felt the need give an alternative and completely true review. It's terrible that a few bad comments can ruin restaurants in this City. I found the food and the service at Mekong spot on. The restaurant is nicely decorated and extremely clean. Food arrived incredibly quickly and was fresh and delicious. Don't be put off, give them a go - I'll certainly be heading back.

    Loud music and great ribs

While the food was pretty good - fried dumplings light as air and fall off the bone 5 spice ribs - the less than fabulous service and extremely loud music detracted from the experience. I'd give it a 2nd try with hopes that the kinks are ironed out and the volume gets turned down.

    Eat in only...

Nam chow dose not travel well. But a really good spot to visit. Lunch service is fast & the food is really good. And the place is really clean.

for every bad review there are ten good

I guess it's probably understandable that people who have crappy service are more likely to write a review than those who don't... but i couldn't stand the bad rap mekong was getting so i had to put my two cents in. i love this place! i've been going to mekong and never had bad service. great atmosphere, nice outdoor seating, great location...

    No thanks

Ordered 2 Red Snapper Filets. Food turned up 1.5 hours late, cold and fish was over cooked and uneatable. Called to complain but manager was totally unforgiving. The restaurant may be ok but doni't get your food delivered from here. $50 gone.
